Hi ladies, :)

Been a while since I posted but I just have a concern...I'm still waiting to O this month, my third cycle charting. The thing is I have lots of EWCM around CD 13-15, but it's CD 19 and still no temp shift. This happened last cycle too. The one before that I O'd on CD 16. But the cycles have all been 29 days, so my LP varies from 10-14 days, and I thought that wasn't supposed to happen. Questions are:

Why don't CM and O seem to correlate?

Should I use lube to compensate for the dryness around O time?

Do you think a 10 day LP is too short?

Thanks! Just looking for some more thoughts.

Julie

Are you sure the earlier ewcm isn't sticky, cement glue type.. does it stretch 2in+, like it should? I have fertile cm patches once in a while, where it seems like O is coming, but it delays for a week or so. Maybe some of us are just prone to that. I see you have "--" for cm today, so maybe tomorrow will be your spike day.

10 Day LP may be too short... you may need some help extending that. It depends. How does your gyno feel about charting?

There is a lube that is sperm safe.. see early-pregnancy-tests.com -- you can use the link on our Shopping page to have a cut of it go to C'Moms. It's the store I use too.

Good luck on this cycle. Looks good.

Thanks Rachel!

The EWCM is definitely that...slippery, almost clear, stretches 4-5 in. sometimes. I do get the sticky kind sometimes and am pretty sure I can tell the difference.

I don't know what my ob/gyn thinks about charting yet. I'm new to her and my first appt. to discuss TTC is next month. We'll see. I will definitely be asking her about the LP length too.

I'm thinking now I will try to talk DH into getting more Pre-Seed if I continue to be dry around O. We tried it once, worked fine but he balked at the price and would rather use nothing than buy that regularly.

Thank you again. :D

I am the same with the cm. and O it doesn't always work together. But I started taking the "cough syrup" medicine and I learned that if you drink green tea that helps with creating cm.

If the pre-seed is too high (which I can agree) you might try mineral oil. The nurses at my gyn all recommended it and said that was what the docs recommend (although I didn't ask the doc directly). It is actually found at the drug store in the laxative area (but you use it as lubrication, not taking it internally as the laxative effect). Just plain old mineral oil.

Good luck with figuring out your cycle - mine is really crazy at times too so I know it can be frustrating to try to sort out.

I may get slammed for saying this, but you can use Astroglide lube also if you don't want to pay for pre-seed. If anyone tells you it hinders sperm, tell them I got pg 4 times using it. :D
I have always had little CM so we have to use something if we want to enjoy BD, and we found astroglide early on. It's slippery, so be VERY careful it any gets on the floor...LOL!!!

If your LP is truely 10 days long, you may need to talk about progesterone...but it's very wise to talk to your doc this coming appt. Make sure you bring your charts in with you...I was kind of new to charting when I brought my charts in to a doctor I was seeing, and she said I was actually reading it wrong...not O wise, but still we can make mistakes here and there.

I hope you don't have to talk to your doc about TTC, maybe you can have your first pre-natal then! :D

Blessings,
Amber
