I'm new here and the other day when I signed up I saw a posting from a mom who's 1 year old is only 19 pounds. I wanted to give encouragement. My middle daughter was also small at a year old. She was only 17lb. 1/2 oz. She's now 14 and very athletic and healthy. She's always been petite but I think that's the way God made her. My advice is that as long as your child is eating healthy foods and a fair amount and seems to be fairly healthy then I wouldn't worry about it. Doctors get nervous when children don't seem to fit graphs. I hope this has put your mind at ease.
