Ya' know those little packets that you find in shoe boxes and purses. You know, the ones that say "DANGER," "DO NOT EAT" and scary warnigs like that. Well my daughter had one in her new shoes, and as she is a six year old, she didn't think twice about opening it up. The little beads went EVERYWHERE! I swept them up but of course my 10mo old, who can find anything, found one of the little beads that I missed. I caught him in time to pull it out of his mouth, but it made me think, I wonder if he ate any more of them?

So I called the Dr., and they said to call poison control. Poison control said that the little beads are non toxic, whew! The reason that they say not to eat is because they are a choking hazard. Who knew? It is not a big deal for them to injest the beads, as long as they don't choke on them.

I just thought that you may find this little information interesting in case you ever come across the same little problem! :wink:
