No one could have prepared me for the path of destruction that comes with little boys. Here's what I found along with half of my entire videos/DVDs in the middle of the floor this morning:

How does an eighteen-month-old have this kind of strength? He snapped the child-proof lock in two pieces!! Maybe I should also post what he did to the tv cabinet door two weeks ago! :?

hehehe
Amazing isn't it? Purely amazing!

And what IS it about the videos? My kids will play with ours ALL day if I let them. Just looking at the cases. Rearranging (aka messing it all up).

That is funny my son has son the same thing since he could crawl and pull up. he loves looking at the covers and trying to open and close them.

Sorry to laugh, but I feel your pain. I had this wash basin and pitcher that had it's own stand and my son destroyed it. the only thing that survived was the pitcher. He broke the bowl and then the stand it literally broke in half(it was wood!)

Oh I feel your pain! [rotfl] And then some. Wish I could say it gets better...but like you say, what can you do but smile and love their energy and curiosity and strength? :? I often avail myself of their strength now that they are 17,15,13 and 11. We don't buy new furniture. What is the point? [rofl]

Aww I feel for you too. My son has gotten into and scratched some of our dvds too. Oh yeah and he destroyed a vcr. He's taken some things apart too, but mostly his toys. Theres a helicopter with no blades anymore, and a few broken down cars, a headless spiderman, and probably more. What can you do?

We have the exact same safety lock! We have had to replace ours now twice! I just don't find them that durable.

I've wondered where my DS gets his strength from too....he is quite the destructive little fella. Its so much fun when your sister had two boys and they've always been perfect  .
I too feel your pain.

LOL! I know it isn't funny, but mine broke the "childproof" door knob cover off of one of my doors! Amazing what they can do if they really want to.

Gee, what do you feed your kid? That is so funny. Good thing it's all fixable or replaceable. :)

I was laughing b/c I guess I was thinking it was only my boys that break stuff, but I am so glad to see it isn't! Also playing with the video's my ds's do that too! It drives me crazy as then I have to find the matching covers to put them back again and that is always a challenge!

The other day my ds found my dh's transformer collection fro when he was a boy! uggghhhh, why didn't he put them somewhere safe

Oh that was cute Becca, both pics, loved it! Not to mean it was fun for you, but all us moms have been there I promise. I'm not so sure its only a boy thing either, my daughter does pretty well in the destruction category too. And if I leave our DVD storage zipper case at her level I will come back to 50 DVD's all over the floor. Why she has such in interest in those discs I'll never know.

Yikes! I am a little nervous of what my ds will break first. He is 10 mos, but he is already crawling around and pulling up on things... Let the breaking commence!!!

YUP...just had to purchase a dvd from the movie rental store...ds scratched it along the floor until it is no longer readable...

When do they do these things??? Do they get up during the middle of the night and do them when we are asleep??? My oldest DS was NO problem. DS #2...different story. He will come and tell you "made mess" and you know to be prepared...somethings torn up. DS #1 has been instructed over and over again to keep his PSP put up out of the reach of little hands, but we shall see how long that lasts.
