Hi,

My dd will be 2 next month and we want to go buy a potty for her. I have already done some looking and there are at least 6 or so to choose from! Any recommendations on which ones might be better or more suitable than others? Thanks!

Baby Bjorn, hands down!!

The potty really CAN make the difference. This one is roomy enough to spread out and get comfy. Nothing to pinch baby. No crevices to catch nasties. Easy!

We just always got one of those potty rings you put on the big potty. They come in all different character prints and are inexpensive. I love them because there is no extra transition from little to big potty (less transition the better, in my book), plus it saves room with not having something sitting out...we have a very small bathroom. No to mention...no extra clean up since everthing goes right into the toilet.

I think it depends on the child. My dd never liked potty chairs so we used one of those potty seat covers that are made to fit kids better than just sitting them on the potty. I also like that there is no transition to the potty where there might be if you were moving them from a potty chair to the big potty.

We are thinking of getting ds a potty chair just so he can learn by watching his big sister...

I think it depends on the child too. I have not tried the bjorn though. My son didn't like sitting on his little potty very much. He did at first to just sit there but never was one to go on it. He mainly used the big potty.
