Hi,
Am I normaly, I have been breast feeding now for what... 3 weeks, and I feel i can never eat enough. it is like my tummy that would have been full just by looking at food while i was pregnant (and i hoped that would have helped me to eat less later...) now feels like it is a bottomless pit.
Even my husband eats 1/2 what i do - and says he is SO full, and i am like walking around the kitchen wondering what else i can devour!
HELP ! What do I do about this. I want to get back to shape, and this constant hunger feeling does NOT help in the least!
And i do drink plenty water. I try take 1/2 liter every time I feed.
Does not do much to fill me up.

You need to eat more now that your nursing. I wouldn't worry about it that much. Try and make sure you eat the right food though. Keep plenty of veggies and things like that to snack on. Bananas are awesome, fruit salad. Ask your OB or doctor about it if you want more info. I was told by my sons pedi, my OB and other women that you need somewhere around 500 extra calories a day. Also I wouldn't worry about the weight, but about 3-4 months I dropped it all. I had gained 40 lbs when I was preggers. I never had a chance to exercise. I hope this helped.

Ditto. Be patient. Eat when you are hungry. There is always time for losing weight. But this babe needs you now. :D Enjoy it!

Yep, what they said...keep up with the water, eat healthy foods. Have prepared fruits and veggies on hand to just grab and go. Granola bars, peanut butter crackers are also good choices.
That baby is consuming a LOT of those calories you're taking in right now. Don't sweat it. Don't worry yourself over regaining your figure/weight right now.
Shoot, mine is 14 months and I'm just now getting back to *me*. Has been this way with all of mine (this is number 5).

Thanks Ladies.
You are always so reasurring.
It is just so how can i put it, off putting, when you going for a 2nd or 3rd helping, and your beloved dh says - I have had enough, anything more and i will be over eating....
You see, he lost 20kg (i think that is 44.09 lb) a few years back. he put some of it on again, and he wants to get back to where he was then...
I did not join him on that diet (from a dietician) since i was pg at the time, anyway, he did it - i guess i feel i should be able to, too. esp now that i am nursing. one can loose alot of it while b/f.
anyway, I will munch away when i feel i need to, and try not to feel guilty.
I may even show him what you ladies said! :)

Thanks for all the support you are. This site has been SUCH a huge blessing - through out the pregnancy and even now. :P
