I am looking to expand my reading so I thought I would ask what your all-time favs are. I would even go for non-fiction, too.

"Roses For Mama" By Janette Oke
I cry every time I read it...it's a really beautiful story.
"Emerald Windows" By Terri Blackstock
It's pretty good, has a lot of mystery in it...like all of her books...
I would recommend both of them though...

I love anything by Karen Kingsbury and Francine Rivers. My favortie is the Mark of the Lion Series by Francine Rivers. There are 3 books and the first two are amazing! It takes you back when Rome overtook Jeruselam. It's the journey of one young girls faith! The thing I love about it is it ties in some Bible stories so it's almost like getting a behind the scene preview. Simply amazing books.

Sir Gibbie by George Mac Donald is one of my favorites. In fact, anything by George Mac Donald rates up there pretty high. The Chronicles of Narnia is also at the top of the list.

Looks like we have the exact same taste! The Mark of the Lion books were unbelievable! They should make a movie to go along with it!

I LOVE Karen Kingsbury...especially the "Redemption" series. She followed it up with the "Firstborn" series and a new one that starts with an S...can't remember the names...all three series probably have 15 books in all. GREAT reads!

ooo, I just read Saint by Ted Dekker, and it was amazing! I was glued to the edge of my seat the whole time, it was so hard to put down. I really want to read more of his books now.

I agree! It was really good! If you haven't read House yet, I think you'd enjoy it as well. He collaborated on it with Frank Peretti

I really love the Mitford Series by Jan Karon. Makes me want to live in Mitford every time I read them. Also makes me think about what life is really about.

I will have to look into some of these I have never read a christian book may be now is the time to start.
I too love the Mark of the Lion series. Some of my favorite authors are Janette Oke, Catherine Palmer, and Lori Wick.
I also just finished reading a series called the "Shenandoah Sisters" by Michael Phillips. (Angels Watching Over Me, A Day to Pick Your Own Cotton, The Color of Your Skin Ain't the Color of Your Heart, Together is All We Need) They were all wonderful. :)

Agreed. I like Ted Dekker. Saint was good. I'm reading the prequel (actually written after Saint though) called Showdown. Pretty good so far but I don't want to read it all before the hospital so I am pacing myself (yes...I ALWAYS take a book when in labor! gol). ~Kerri

Favorite? Wow, that's hard...
I really like Randy Alcorn - "Safely Home" is my favorite by him.
Lisa Samson is one of my new favorites - she has a quirky style of writing, her characters are realistic.
Just finished Karen Kingsbury's "Rejoice" - wow, I can't imagine my child drowning in a pool, scary!
I'm yet another big fan of Francine Rivers!

Ray Blackston's : A Pagans Nightmare & Flabergasted (my 10y is reading this one) These are comedy and Flab. is Romantic in a way. There is a second one to Flab. called Delirious (sp) that was funny and romantic but I have it in audio not in book form so I am not sure if they change the words any for that.
Lori Wick: Sophies heart & Bamboo and Lace & The Princess
Dee Henderson: any in the O'Malley Series - Danger in the shadows, The Negotiator, The Guardian, The Rescuer is my fave of these.
A book of 4 short stories called: Aloha is good over all.
Oh and I loved the romance: Finding her Home from that Steeple Hill Love Inspired book club. I got a few of those and they were good.
