I switched to All Free & Clear awhile ago, but my husband is now getting random hives and I'm beginning to suspect the detergent. What do you crunchy gals use? I can't use detergent with plant ingredients because of allergies.

I'm going to start making ours. Don't know if the ingredients are plant based though. I'm sorry he's having hives with a F&C detergent. We used Purex F&C in the past and liked it.

My hubby has always had sensitivities to detergents, soaps, deodorants, etc. Red rash, hive like reactions. I've never looked closely at the ingredient lists before simply because we have found that he does well with Tide Free. That said, I've also started to consider making my own. Sorry to hear your hubby is struggling with that... it can be incredibly frustrating to find something that doesn't create issues!
