I was just thinking today about favorite colors. Mine has always been green. Any shade, other than neon. lol It makes me think of shade, green meadows, and deep green pools of water. It's such a restful, calm color to me. I painted our bedroom a sage green with a darker green ceiling and I love it. So what's your favorite color and why do you like it?

Im always drawn to reds, deep reds and soft pinks. I just think pinks are really pretty[lovesmile]. Reds, I think that has to do with my personality/nature. Well on the one hand I walk into a room that is a nice deep red and I find it warming and welcoming. Otoh, Im quite a firey person. I have had a tendancy, in the past moreso than now, to lose my temper quite easily... and in a very nasty way. It represents passion and warmth to me, I think. Colours I have always really stayed away from are the cooler colours, like blue and I was never really a fan of greens. I walk into a green room and it makes the lighting wierd, people look sickly in green rooms. I do love lush green scenery tho. Green grass, trees and such. But then outside you usually have the warmth of the sun to help it out a bit ;).

My favorite color is purple. It always has been but I'm not really sure why.:mrgreen:

I put other because I am not sure I have a specific one. A variety of gemstone colours (like turquoise, I guess if I had to pick one that'd be it) + fall colours top the list. But then I like pale colours too. I grew up saying blue by default.

Love blue, to me it is peaceful and reminds me of water: the ocean, summers at the beach, etc...like all shades, not just the bright ones.

I also really like reds and pretty much all the other colors as well, but blue is my go-to color.

I love blue too! All of its shades... I also love purple though... But just like chamomile I love blue because I love water.... I love water! I am drawn to it all the time! even if it's just a cup of water I just love it! :) ....

When it comes to flowers, purples and pinks are my favorites.

I tend to choose black and gray in clothes, but lately I am wearing brighter colors. Not big on reds, yellows or oranges (only in fall foliage). My new fave seems to be a brighter green, like kelly or spring (not olive). I'm even giving in to purples. :) I don't gravitate to blues very much.

mine was pink then as a teenager it turned to purple and then its back to pink, I dont know why, I always just thought those were pretty colors, blue and green are my least favorite colors and now that I am surrounded by blues and greens I hate them even worse lol but thats okay my boys love those colors :)

I chose Red on the poll, but its definitely a mix for me. I love grey, black, and white also (as far a decorating goes) but I always throw in a shot of red somewhere. My bedroom is painted a light grey with a darker grey comforter and black and white photos, it sounds cold but it really is cozy, to us anyway. I love all colors in a room except for green, I agree with Gen, it just gives a sickly glow to things though my eyes. :) Hope you gals have a great day!

I even have green living room and bed room furniture I love the color so much!!
