After the initial first three days of hell - Hayley lost her smile and joy, she cried all the time, wouldn't sleep at all, and we couldn't go near her face without her freaking out! Hayley (and us) have now settled into the whole NG thing. At least now I don't have to stress if she doesn't eat properly or drink throughout the day, as I know she's getting what she needs through the tube.
Hayley has started enjoying food again, but still slowly building up to how much she used to eat. Two fantastic things about the NG tube:
1 - Hayley put on 140gms in one week!!! (after putting on only 40gms in 3-4 months, that's pretty awesome!). She still has another 3 kgs to get up to the 3rd percentile line...
2 - For the first time this year Hayley slept from 7:30pm right through to 6:30 am three times in the past week!!!!! So nice to have more than 3 hours sleep in a night Praise God!!!!!!!
I'm stilll pretty exhausted, but feeling more optomistic that there's a light at the end of the dark dinghy tunnel!
