I wanted to post this link. With summer around the corner I know there will be many of us taking our families to play where there is a water source. Please read this article and inform yourself of a few things. You never think the worst can happen to you or your little one but it can.

Yup... Had a scare with eliya at my mil's in Florida... And it wasn't the typical flailing noisy scare... It was quiet and *nobody* but me noticed... And we adults were *all*right*there! Ack! Talk about shaking you to the core! Anyways... Yes... Watch those precious ones!!

Thanks for this Esther a lot of things in life are influenced by the media and TV that reality gets sidelined.
Thanks for posting the truth I will keep this in mind from now on. Was at the beach the other day and Sinead went into the sea, you never realise that drowning may be silent and a lot of those kiddos in the water were not watched properly by an adult.

Thanks for posting this. We had a close scare last summer at the lake. I was there by myself with our two kids and Jonethan stepped off into a deep part of the lake and lost his footing. (It was also a quiet day at the beach and we were almost the only ones there.) It was quick and is was scary. I was only about eight feet away and I was able to dash out into the water and grab his arm. We immediately all went to shore and prayed, tearfully thanking God that he was okay. But I will never forget it.
This is a great article for raising awareness and I will be passing it on. Thanks Esther!

I have had a couple of scares with my boys but it is true, the majority of the time its not a bunch of splashing and crying for help, ds2 jumped in the pool didnt judge it right and didnt make it into the area of shallow water he is supposed to stay in when he isnt wearing his life vest well I saw the whole thing but was on the other side of the pool, I saw him as I swam as fast as I could to get to him, but no splashing, no crying for help, just his head barely surfacing trying to get air which he wasnt succeeding because he could touch bottom, if I never saw him jump in and where he landed I would of never heard him, I got to him, lots of coughing water up nose and he had to sit out of the pool for awhile for being careless and trying to jump from deepend into shallow end, we take our pool very seriously, but him sitting out and thinking about the big scare and thanking God I saw it, he is more careful now in the water, we had the church come over for a pool party, a couple not watching their little one and I saw it step off the edge, the same thing, no screaming, no splashing, just a child trying their hardest to even surface, I rescued him, but after that we have a rule, if you cant swim then you MUST wear a life saving device(such as a life vest) or you cant even enter the fence thats around the pool, they must put one on before they enter the pool gate, because if I hadnt to walk out there to see how my boys were doing(my sister was watching them) then I would of never saw that child fall in the deepend and who knows if anybody else would of, thanks for posting this article because alot of people dont know this, like that couple from church were surprised because they never heard him cry for help, because they cant, sometimes they cant even get their mouth above the surface to even breathe

It's crazy to me that I just posted this not too long ago. and then this past sat June 18 my 4 year old nephew almost drowned. In fact he did drown. He was blue and unresponsive. My brother did cpr and was able to revive him. There was even an adult in the pool with them. 1 adult and 3 kids. How did this happen? I'm not sure how it happened but all i know is it did. We could never be too careful.
