Hey ladies! I can hardly believe I'm posting here for Alanna... she will have her first birthday in 2 short weeks! Time sure does fly!

I'm just wondering how to tell if a little one has an issue with lactose. I've just started weaning Alanna and starting her on cow's milk (same time I did with the other three kids...) and I'm wondering if there is an issue. She has started to spit up again, nothing huge, but she hasn't done that since she was, oh....5 months maybe? So it is a bit odd. And yesterday and today when I gave her milk she has intentionally let most of it dribble out of her mouth like she doesn't want it. Again, not typical. It may be nothing, but I thought I'd ask anyway. TIA!

Bumping in case anyone has experience they can share. Otherwise, Babycentre has a little bit about l/i and toddlers: http://www.babycenter.com/0_lactose-intolerance_1201468.bc

I dont know, I know with lactose intolerance, their belly hurts and they get diarrhea, I could never start my boys out on milk right at 1yr, my youngest I had to wait until here recently (like last month) to start him on milk, because everytime he drank milk it was garuntee diarrhea and eventually blistered his butt, if I quit the milk he had no diarrhea issues, so I just waited a little longer, just figured his tummy wasnt ready, so he been on milk now for about a month and no issues, no diarrhea or anything, but all my boys I couldnt start them on milk at a yr, about 15mos to 18mos before I could, but it was because they threw it up, but with ds4 he didnt vomit it, just diarrhea it, but now they are 9yr,6yr,3yr,18mos and huge milk drinkers(we go thru like 6 to 7gallons a wk), we have no issues with milk at all, its strange, I just figured their belly wasnt ready at a 1yr like they say
