We're home!!

We're finally home!

We went into the hospital on Wednesday at 4pm for induction (so I thought). My cervix wasn't soft enough and I was only dialated 1cm, so they decided to do a gel pack balloon thingy that had to stay in 12 hours. It's purpose was to soften my cervix.

So, at 6am on Thursday, 3/1, they started giving me pitocin. Around 8:20, the doctor came in and broke my water. I was dialated 4cm at that point. Contractions picked up pretty heavy from there and I gladly accepted Demerol in my IV. Around 11:50, I felt the urge to push and the nurse called the doctor. When the doctor arrived, I pushed 4 times, which was a lot for me. :wink:

At 12:04, our beautiful baby was born!!

Okay enough torture! :lol:

We have a BOY!! His name is Tanner Michael. He weighed 10lbs 13oz and was 23 inches long. He's a big boy!! I had a fairly easy delivery considering the facts. :wink:

Wowzers...congratulations...what a big beautiful baby boy!! I am so glad you were able to deliver him vag. You just proved that some women are meant to have big babies....we do stretch!! LOL

Tanner is a VERY handsome little boy. And OH MY! I think I would have had something in my IV also----10.13!!! My dd was only 5lbs. I cant even imagine!! YOU GO GIRL!!! Take care of yourself, you went thru the same thing he did!
