View Full Version : 2nd appointment--Updated :)
4HisGlory 02-25-2007, 07:44 PM So tomorrow morning at 9:45, I have my 2nd prenatal appt. Ever since I have found out I am pg I have had such a peace from God that everything will be fine, and I will have a baby in my arms...but for the past few days I have had this nagging inside that I am going to get some bad news tomorrow. My fear is great enough that Neal has agreed to skip 2 classes tomorrow so he can be there with me "just in case" I still feel pg, I still have all the signs...its just this weird *what if*. I found out on my 1st pg that ended in m/c that the baby was dead via u/s...we had no idea it would be like that going into the u/s...so I think that I am just having some issues with my last. I don't know, but I would appriciate some prayer...I still have God's peace, and still feel in my heart all is well and will stay well. Maybe it is the devil having is foothold in this...I don't know. I have been praying about this and have given it to God and know that no matter what it is God's will and is perfect....but I am a selfish human and want my baby. Anyways, I will keep you all posted on how it goes tomorrow. I just pray if they do try to hear the heartbeat...that they will find it no problem so I dont worry. thanks ladies.

gamommyto4girls 02-26-2007, 08:07 AM Praying for you! Prior to this pregnancy I had a first trimester m/c. My doc this time was very kind and did a quick u/s at each pre-natal visit. You can see a visible heartbeat long before you can listen. I believe you can see it at about 6 weeks- but can't always hear it until 10-12 weeks. Not sure quite where you are in term. Just an idea. I'm so glad that your hubby will be by your side!
Blessings,
Beth

davidsmommy 02-26-2007, 01:54 PM Can't wait to hear how it went. You're still in our prayers.
4HisGlory 02-26-2007, 06:03 PM We heard the heartbeat! Oh it was music to my ears! It took a little bit to find it but then she said 'there it is' and turned up the dopler and we could hear it loud and clear. I am SO relieved and have so much more peace. She also told us that once they are able to find the heartbeat in the office your chance of mc drops to 1-2% chance of mc. I am just SO happy and thankful to our Heavenly Father for giving me this gift...not only my baby but the peace of the heartbeat. Thank you all for your prayers, I truly felt them today. I can't thank you all enough! Praise God!
breezykc2 02-26-2007, 07:05 PM Congrats! Yes, got to love those little horse-hoof beat baby heart sounds!
davidsmommy 02-26-2007, 07:07 PM PRAISE THE LORD!!!! Wow! Isn't hearing the heartbeat amazing and such a reassuring blessing?!?! I am rejoicing for you, and remembering when I heard my newest little one's heartbeat last week. Like I said before, PRICELESS!
Yeah! Isn't that sound the most wonderful thing in the world?! :) Just wait until you hear that first cry after they are born!!! I just can't help but sob and say, "You CRY baby, just go ahead and CRY!" Music to my ears! :) Congratulations again momma!
YAY! I knew that'd be the out come! Congrat MAMA!!!!!
Timmys mom 02-27-2007, 12:08 AM Praise God!
irishmum2boys 02-27-2007, 02:01 AM :D Praise The Lord :D Oh that is so wonderful!
buttercup_97140 02-27-2007, 03:42 AM Yeah!!!! That is so awesome that you heard the h/b! I love that sound so much!
I am one who always gets a bit "freaked" when an appointment is coming up. I had two m/c before our Dd, and knowing Noah is so sick didn't help, but I do feel a lot more peace now that I feel him move A LOT, but before I could feel him I was nervous.
I pray for everything to keep going well, and that you feel your little one move early! It's so amazing!
