Are any of you experiencing pinching sensations to the sides of your scar? I am, it feels internal and I saw a nurse today who told me it is probably my uterus stretching and adhesions stretching and not to be concerned unless is is very painful (which it isn't). She recommended I mention it to my midwife when I see her.... just want to guage is anyone else having these feelings?

Well Aussie-mum,
I am done with haveing babies but I have had 3 c-sections and with my second and third babies yes I did have that same kind of feeling. I'm no midwife or doctor but I don't think you have anything to worry about.

But just to be on the safe side and to ease your concern I would mention it the next visit you have.

Hey I haven't had much of the same sensation today, but I forgot to say sometimes if I turn really quickly (like to the side, as in rolling over in bed) they pinch a lot. The nurse did say the sides are where the doctors tie the knots and that adhesive tissue begins to pull... which I am now sure the midwife will say the same.

I had these visions of my stomach splitting open LOL LOL (well not so funny)...

[rofl] I know what you mean, i've been feeling the same way these past few days. It's a little painful internal but i believe it's normal. But it does cross my mind at times thinking that my insides are going to open. Although i know they are not.

Okay I saw the midwife Jane today and she confirmed it probably IS just my scar tissue stretching but she explained that scar tissue does not like to stretch but the rest of my skin will compensate for what the scar tissue is not wanting to do....

But I have to have it checked during my ultrasound on Saturday (in three days and counting wow, so excited!).

She is also against caesarians, I mean she said to me basically women who don't want to go through natural childbirth are strange (????), so I didn't really tell her in so many words that I am one of those weirdos (LOL) - but just because of my situation of an initial caesarian and the information I have gathered on the subject - she said MOST doctors will not do a VBAC, but that the obstetrician I am with will go along with whatever - but she was speaking from the POV that she thought I was jumping with joy at the thought of a vaginal birth (LOL).

Oh well time to speak to my doctor in 4 weeks time.
