So after spending WAY too much time looking at diapers... I think I've narrowed it down to these 3 that look like what I'm really looking for. I want one size...mostly because if I'm actually gonna save money doing this I think its what I need to do. I think I'll definitely prefer the pocket diapers (to start at least... let me get use to this much then we'll go from there;) ) I want to start SLOWLY and if its just NOT for us, at least I won't be out a ton of money. Now to decide which to order...

I have never tried the Rumparooz, so I can't say anything about those.
For the FB and BG, they both have pros and cons, obviously.
But if it means anything, we have a decent girl stash of FBs and sure I'd order a few for our next baby, especially if I found a good deal. But, I plan on truly investing in BGs for him. I love the new style and we haven't had one issue with the one we have for Grace. Now, the 3.0 style... won't buy those at all (they'd most likely be second hand anyway as everything is upgraded to 4.0). But we've had so many issues with the velcro on them I'm just sick of it.
The pros to FBs is that they are soooo versatile in the sizes. You change the elastic around the leg and waist, making them so much easier to fit all different sized babies. AND you get extra elastic when you buy one! SCORE! :) We haven't needed to change ours yet, though I can see we might need to soon. The downside to that for us has been that when Grace chunks up before a growth spurt, we need to change the waist. But then, she gets taller and so we need to change it AGAIN. And the same goes around the legs. I don't like that since changing the size *is* so involved. But, it's a good thing too... so I go in circles. :) But no real leakage issues or complaints. Solid diaper. Oh, but, ya know... now that I think of it... don't use them at night.
As for the BG, we have a 4.0 with snaps, just loooooove it!!! Save it for night time because it is a ROCK! I don't think it's leaked once. It fits her great in every area, even during her growth spurts... no change, no hassle. The downside... they do tend to be fairly bulky on little babies and they aren't the best for newborns, especially. Although, my experience with that age and BGs is with the 3.0.
Anyway... I'm rambling! I honestly think the best way to do it is to get one or two of each (or how many you want to start with). And just try them. If you don't like them, sell them. You can probably find people willing to buy them on here or on diaperswappers or craigslist. I have bought and sold online a few times so i can try new things. It's not too bad and with CDs you do tend to get a fair amount of your money back if you treat your diapers well. :)
I hope that helps some. Sorry it's so long. I'm talk-y tonight I guess. :D
Have fun and I hope you like your CDs!!! :) The first order is so fun!

I have used FB and haven't been very happy with them. I don't have the new version with adjustable everything, but the elastic in mine are shot and I didnt even use them for 2 years.
ALso, You are in WI so if you order from Nicki's Diapers, she has a 15 day trial period. If you don't like your diapers after 15 days, you send them back for a refund. Could be helpful for you as you determine what you like. Website: wwwnickiesdiapers.com. She is also on Facebook.
Hope this helps. Good luck.
