How old were your babies when they started rolling over? Did you do anything to help them learn or was it just natural??

Our 8 week old though is starting to work on it already! I know my first wasn't this young when he started working on it though... Ashers Mommy 02-23-2007, 08:29 PM Asher rolled over at 2 weeks! But, he hasn't done it since :( I think he got sooo mad at his tummy time the first time that he pushed himself over!! lol He will be 10 weeks on Sunday! ~Tara~ 02-24-2007, 11:50 AM Asher rolled over at 2 weeks! But, he hasn't done it since :( I think he got sooo mad at his tummy time the first time that he pushed himself over!! lol He will be 10 weeks on Sunday! LOL Sounds similar to one of mine. He so despised being on his tummy. To OP, I didn't do anything special. I just give my kids time to play on their backs and bellies. I would have to earnestly *think* to recall at what ages it first happened. I just don't remember those things. But obviously they happened LOL myjoyoverflows 02-24-2007, 01:11 PM Maddy was 4 1/2 months...we were living in a place before she rolled over where they wasn't room to put her on the floor or anything. Once we moved into this apartment, she got some floor time and in such a small amount of time, she was rolling over. We didn't do anything to help her, just laid her on the floor...but watch out though, once they know how to do it, they don't stop! At least Maddy didn't! Crissyanna 02-24-2007, 10:42 PM Dainyah started to roll over at just over three months or so. Dad would put her on his belly and lean a bit and let her roll off and catch her. They love that game. However, she HATES being on her belly, so when she rolls from her back onto her belly, she starts to cry. She has been able to scoot for a long while now too. Started that when she started to roll over. Conch06 02-25-2007, 11:06 PM Hunter rolled from front to back at 3 months on the nose, but it probably took until he was 4 months to do it regularly. At 5.5 months he started rolling from back to front. Jill 02-26-2007, 02:11 PM thanks for all the advice! my ds is on his way to rolling over! it's fun to watch him try. he does get very frustrated during tummy and doesn't seem to like it, even if i am with him on my tummy. we will keep trying:) |
