Does anyone have a child who finds his most favorite past-time is wrestling and pinning down his younger sister? I think we could rival Incredible Hulk!!!! Our poor little girl takes it pretty well, but does get fed up with being constantly plowed over and tied up! It isn't done out of anger or jealousy most of the time, but just from - I guess the need to be a little boy (he is 3)! He loves to tie up toys, play animals and about anything else that is close by, including her!!!! I figure she'll either end up being super laid back or a big bruiser!!! Oh, and I feel like a full-time referee! I've got to get myself one of those fashionable striped outfits!!!

LOL! That made me laugh because my 3 yr old daughter does the same thing to me all the time. She loves charging at me and pinning me down to the floor and saying pinned you again (i think she got it from lion king though  when simba and the girl cub play together (forgot her name) ).

Nala! lol. Yeah Timmy loves to charge me and Jacob and pin us down too. He's never seen the lion king though, I thought the dad dying might be too intense for him. I even skip over that part in his book. Timmys like look the daddy lions sleeping, and I'm like yep. lol... I'm a wuss.

I don't allow my boys to play roughly like that with their sister. I just think that's crossing a line. They are to treat her like a 'lady', with respect and not use force with her. Sure, they play and sure, at times they get rough. But they are reminded to play carefully with their sister and only the boys are allowed 'on the mat' to wrestle. Now, when it comes to 'pile on dad' time, that's different, they're all in for that. But there shall be no Sis vs Nugget matches ;)
Also keep in mine, I don't allow my boys to do that with one another either. They don't just play roughly and pound and pin one another 'just cuz' If they want to play around like that we have actual wrestling matches in which dad coaches and refs.

Applemom, our boys wrestled with each other, but were told to take it outside. The yard had fewer breakable items. I think I would probably discourage your son from wrestling with his sister, though. Maybe he can wrestle with dad?
