View Full Version : what my boys taught ME today!

1. Baby bananas can taste even worse than they already do. It's called regurgitated love.

2. If I wash 5 towels, I fold 30. A toddler can not pass up the opportunity to over-turn a basket of freshly folded towels. It's called "hepping" (helping)

3. If one gets a sippy cup, they all get a sippy cup. Otherwise it's "mean".

4. No matter how wet a diaper is, Patrick will ALWAYS pee on me when I change him.

5. Boys will be boys, and when they're not playing, they're still playing

6. Punishment is never fair, it means we hate them, and then they want to go live at their dad's. Because "it's funner over there. I wouldn't get in trouble for this at HIS house".

So,
1. I will not throw Patrick up in the air after eating again. I prefer bananas that taste good.
2. Fold and put away towels while Bri is sleeping
3. I may just have to be mean sometimes.
4. remove, duck and replace.
5. let em live' let em learn' and let em' be boys
6. Well, This is Brian's and MY house, and that's the way WE do things. So tough, deal with it, or move on.

*and yes, that's what I told him. I told him that if it's so much easier at Daddy's, I would help him pack to move. Gave him the phone, asked if he wanted to call. But told him he would have to tell his dad what he done. (racing in the cafeteria [not suppose to do] not paying attention [still not suppose to do] hit a teacher [this one was an accident, but had he been paying attention, it wouldn't have happened] ) and he decided he would sit it out until Brian got home and take his punishment...

OH, yeah, and the last thing I learned today, (and the day isn't over YET)
...
...
...
...
...
if you send them to their room for time out, they go through the following:
hungry
thirsty
tired
have to do homework
have to pee
have to poop
need fresh air
NEED to watch the baby so mama can clean the kitchen
and then, it starts over again

right now, he's trying to sweet talk his way out of it and get off on good works.

We don't do time off on good behaviour here. They have to be seriously regretful and must ask for forgiveness. Works don't work here.

anyway, that's what I learned, how about you

Instead of better at Daddy's....I get "My Poppy lets me do it!". Well, your Poppy can be a little bit insane sometimes too....

Ok, I so understand. I've had those days too!
