Hi,
My dd is almost 2 yo, and if I try to put hairclips in her hair they won't stay in, she tries to pull them out and she doesn't like it when I try to put them in the first place. We have just been having to get her hair cut so that it is not down over her eyes to eliminate this problem but it sure would be nice to be able to put nice little hair clips in her hair. I've said, you look pretty, etc......but just doesn't seem to work. Suggestions?!
I have a dd that is almost 2 also, and we have the same problem. I have given up on the hair clips, but I have tried small pony tail holders with bows on them, and they stay in for awhile. I'm trying to let her hair grow all one length, and it is difficult. You might want to try that.

I feel your pain. My dd won't let me put clips in her hair and ponytail holders only stay for a short period of time. I also have tried telling her how pretty she looks. I have even tried putting my hair in pigtails and asking her if she wants me to do her hair so she looks like mommy. Nothing has worked so far.

My daughter is the same way  She is 20mnths. I always wanted a little girl I could dress up in dresses and put bows in her hair. Not my Dootie. She will not hear of it. I have tried every clip known to man and hair tie. They are out within a second. I have tried everything for her to keep them in. I have found the few times that she did actually keep one in for a few minutes...I slipped it in her hair when she was doing something she was so inthrawled in. But, as soon as she was done and felt the bow...out it come. With her...she needed a bow for the front of her hair...cause it was always in her eyes. Since she wouldn't wear one...I gave her a hair cut...just up front. It looks cute and so there is no need for the bows.

My dd did the same at that age. The thing that stayed on the longest were ponytails so i did that. Got cute ones with bows like someone suggested on a previous post. My dd is 3 now and loves her clips. Go figure, i think it's just a stage and will soon pass.
