Sigh.. still no baby!

I still haven't had the baby. My patients is wearing thin.. I really want to have this baby now!! I am over 2 weeks past my due date.. although I know I was off a little.. I can't beleive I could have been off by two weeks! I did only have one period between Lawson and this baby and was totally not expecting to get pregnant. So when I noticed it had been a while since I had that period it was hard to go back and remember the exact date. Anyway.. I knew all along that my due date wasn't very accurate but I hope its not much longer cause I'm getting really impatient! I had contractions last night for 3 hours lasting a decent time coming about 10 minutes apart but they stopped when I layed down to go to sleep. I thought it was time so I'm a little dissapointed that it wasn't. I see the midwife Thursday if I dont go into labor by then.. I'm praying I go into labor by then though. So, thats the latest.. I'll update you all if anything changes or I have the baby.

Still praying for you! I hope that it happens soon for you. My doc and I don't agree on due dates cause I was bigger then smaller than I'm supposed to be at this point, technology! Yuck. What happened to the good old days of you telling people you were due in the spring, summer, fall or winter?!
Anyway - hang in there and keep us posted. Hope when labor starts that it goes quickly and smoothly for you.

I don't know how you do it. CONGRATS - your patiences!

I am not even at 38 weeks and I have had more than enough - and wish mine will come out SOON. (but then, my doctor wants to take him out in less than 2 weeks time :( and I don't... I want him to come when HE is ready!)

I will be praying for you. That your little one will come out without any delay - and that it will be a quick, easy birth, and that you & your little one will be well & healthy!

:lol: Check, check, and well I didn't jump rope or go horseback riding, I did pull my kids around on the sled in the back yard.. I ran around the yard about 5 times and walked another 5, oh, and I also went 4X4ing with dh!

WOW - Your DH allowed you to go with 4x4ing ! - mine won't - not now. :(

Now I have no experience in this, but I heard dancing and squatting also helps.
(now i have been trying these 2, I get a little cramps but they don't last long)

Maybe someone that has done this with success can post about it - and say how long they danced / squatted - before something actually happened.

Although i guess - baby will ONLY come down when he/she is good and ready. the lungs etc must first be strong enough..

I am just praying for you - God can help!

tried some castor oil yet? ::giggles:: Poor thing! I hope that baby comes soon and brings you some relief! I always get impatient just to hold my little one!!! It seems like 37 weeks is all my body can take, and out they come! :) I'm hoping, for your sake, the baby comes VERY soon!!! :)

I have bloody show!! :mrgreen: I know it could still be days but its a good sign anyhow! I think my mucous plug has been coming gradually over the past 3 weeks or so but up until know its just been clear or yellowish, sorry about the tmi. Anywho, I'm excited.. I hope I have the baby either tonight after midnight or tomorrow before midnight.. I like the 21st.. I was born on the 21st.. its a good number, lol. :D

Praying for you and your little one's arrival! My experience...I lost my plug around noon on Saturday and DD was born by 7pm on Sunday, so maybe it won't be much longer for you! [praying]

Thanks everyone! I had some contraction tonight that got to be 6 minutes apart but then stopped. :x As soon as I move I get a contraction but if I relax I will go for a long time without one. So frustrating.. but I keep telling myself Gods timing is perfect! My midwife said that with her last baby she had the same thing happen but then woke up at 2am in labor and it went quick, so we will see! Thank you all for praying for me.. I sure feel it! :D

Hope to hear good things soon for you. I am at 37 weeks and so, so ready and I can identify. I was late with DS and know what it is like to be in limbo. With DS#1 I had several nights of on and off again contractions and show and it was so frustrating, just wanted to get the show on the road. I also had a similar experience. The last month of #3 I was 'tortured' by contractions like you speak of. Ugh!
I was tired, I was frustrated, I was discouraged, I was M-A-D mad!! Then I broke down and gave it to Him. The next morning I had a 3 hr labor and a healthy baby boy :)

I know it's hard, I know it's very frustrating right now. Just keep hanging on, you're *almost* there!!! Lean on Him for your strength.

And, no, please don't do the castor oil...bad bad news there, seriously, don't do it.

Thank you ladies! I woke up at 3am having contractions 10 minutes apart lasting a minute or more. I tried to sleep until about 8 but I just dozed off between contractions and didn't really get much sleep. The contractions are STILL 10 minutes apart unless I get up and move around.. it seems if I'm up doing something I have a contraction every couple of minutes. Then when I sit down to time them accurately they go back to being 10 minutes apart, grr. They are quite intense.. much more painful then I remember either of my other pregnancies at this stage. I do feel like I am going to progress today so we will see.. hopefully.. prayerfully, I'll have baby news tomorow morning.

this is what I did the day that Abby was born!! They were 7 minutes apart all day long unless I was up moving around. Then FINALLY at 4 pm that evening they went tow 2-3 minutes apart and stayed that way!

Thank you all so much for your prayers! We have a beautiful baby girl.. 7lb, 12oz. She was born at 1:17pm. I had a wonderful labor.. very smooth and easy. I know our prayers were heard!! I will post pics and give details soon! :D
