I just decided to buy some AIO's for my very squirmy 9 mo daughter. I was excitedly telling DH that now we could change her diapers without having to keep her still to get the Snappi attached, that it would be like using a disposable. When a lightbulb went off in my head.
Right now, we send the kids to church in disposables, because we want it to be easy on the nursery volunteers. As one of the volunteers, I know that it would be a bit much to expect the volunteers to learn about CDing just for me. Plus, in our church nursery, we have different volunteers each week of the month, so I'd have to explain about CDing twice every Sunday, so it'd be a lot of hassle for me.
BUT, there are no liners, no Snappis, no difference from a disposable diaper with an AIO, except for the need to put it in a plastic bag when you take it off. I can clean it out when I get it home, if it's the smelly kind of diaper. The Sunday School teachers are friends of mine, so I could explain to them about the AIO's and then they could just tell the volunteers during the service about putting the dirty dipes in the plastic bag.
Do you think that would be asking too much of the volunteers? I'm about to quit volunteering for the nursery entirely to take over as the Toddler Sunday School teacher (I'm already the director of the Toddler Ministry), so I'm a little paranoid that it'll look like even I don't want to do what I'm asking of the volunteers. But, if I can start using the AIO's in church, that'll save us a bit of $$ from buying the disposables. What do you girls think?
