bleeding after Pregnancy?

Ok, my DS is 7 weeks now and I'm still spotting...my doctor said it's only normal to spot or bleed until 6 weeks after vag. delivery....said he'd give me two more weeks to stop or they'd run blood tests to check my HCG levels (evidentally if it's still elevated, that means they missed some of the placenta when "Cleaning" things out after delivery).....anyone else had this? How long did you spot for? I was bleeding heavy for 5 weeks and now only have spotting....SO don't want to have a D&C again because they missed something!

I spotted for about 7 weeks, got a break for a week, then I had my period!! :shock: I was fine though.

I heard 6-8 weeks can be normal, but if your doc says otherwise then I don't know.

I think I bled for about 8 weeks and I didn't have a vaginal delivery. I think it is normal but I'm no expert. I thought something was wrong with me but then it stopped at 8 weeks. Hope that helps!

I bled about 3 weeks, had about a 3-day break, spotted for a day, another bloodless couple of days, then bled for 10 more days. Was okay for a couple of weeks, then spotted one day again after I'd started exercising more.

I pray it clears up soon. :)

I bled for nearly 10 weeks straight...with only one or two days inbetween that I spotted. You should be all set!
