If so, do you use the bible or another book or do something on your own?

I picked up a book at Lifeway last month called "Ten Commandments for Kids". Kassi loves it. It's really good.
I just try to look for opportunities throughout our day. Like yesterday we were outside and she says "moma those clouds are pretty". So then that was a chance to tell her that God made the clouds and that one day Jesus will come back for us in the clouds to take us to heaven and that's called the rapture.
We also have a book with the Precious Moments characters on the front and the title is something like "Favorite Bible Verses". We try and read that every couple of days.
We have a kid's devotional bible, but I've been a slacker lately about reading it to her on schedule.
With us, it's more of looking for opportunities to discuss the Lord in our every day lives, making sure we pray before meals, and just training her up in the way she should go. Tough job huh!

My husband reads just a few verses at the supper table each night. Then we talk about them while we eat. We have tried a few different books, devotions, etc, but this plan has been the easiest to stick to. My girls look forward to hearing what Daddy is going to read, there really isn't any need to plan, just dig in and read.

We usually do whatever but we do so every night.
We do have a book that we occassionally use and like alot it is called "The One Year Book of Family Devotions" by Josh McDowell.

We home school and every year I go looking for good devotionals to use with my boys. We do them every morning and evening. The Bible is a huge part of it whether we read from a book or not. Usually different books will quote a scripture so we will read the entire chapter the quote comes from. That will lead to discussion sometimes and instruction. For years I used Keys for Kids. They are quick little stories with a key phrase and a memory verse. Sometimes it was hard for my boys to relate to because many of the kids are in school in the stories, but still there were lessons to be learned.
