Devo at link above^^

Any some of my thoughts; my friend Erin asked on FB about forgiveness last night (she asked if anyone can say they harbour no unforgiveness) and it had me thinking.

It took so many years to get from harbouring bitterness for.. a decade (that school bully), to maybe a a few years (a christian, no apology), to a year (a christian, no apology plus backbiting), and in more recent times, thankfully, much much less time. Due to a ton of understanding over the brokeness harbouring a hardened heart comes from, and also praying for a filling of grace. But that took.. umm.. practice. Unpleasant practice. Letting Jesus get into some pretty icky, self righteous parts of me. I'm sure it'll be struggle to be diligent until being raised up to be with the Lord..

Who can't relate? Let Christ touch your chasms and gaping holes of hard heartedness, anger and bitterness, and unforgiveness! He's the ONLY one that can fix them and change you from the inside, and you're the ONLY one who can decide to stop clinging to/playing defense to guard your not-so-secret broken parts from Jesus and the work of the Holy Spirit. Whatever gain, pride, s/r indigition, falsities, etc., one may think they get from harbouring hatred and offense, it's nothing but pure tragedy. Especially in light of what love and grace can do given the chance. It takes two to heal life's hardest heart issues- one fallible human being opening up to Christ + Jesus moving in. You will have eternal thankfulness for letting Christ get in there and do His thing!

Praying for only the best for everyone in this.
