Does everyone else with a baby notice substantial hair loss? At 4 months PP now, I brush out gobs of hair after my shower each morning... ugh! And I remember with the other boys too, I start getting little fuzzies growing back after awhile. So weird! Anyone know why this happens? I mean, hormones obviously, but why??

Nevermind, I found this link: http://www.babycenter.com/0_postpartum-hair-loss_11721.bc
Me too... it's just starting now. But by 4-6 months pp I always have a 'fringe' along my hairline that takes months to grow out... [whatwacko]

This happened to me after my second child was born and five years later I am still losing a lot of hair. I guess I just have low estrogen. Not sure what to do about it though...

This is good to know. I love my hair right now. I've noticed the last couple weeks especially, it feels so full & healthy:) I've always had thick hair and I don't know that it feels any thicker right now...but it just feels healthy & soft & I love it:) But apparently I can't keep it that way?

This last pregnancy was the only one that I had gorgeous hair and nails... it was awesome! But no, you probably won't be able to keep it! :( It took 4 months for me to notice this time, and I think I noticed by 2 months before...?

I had postpartum hair loss too. I think that my midwife recommended B vitamins for it.

I couldn't believe how fast my nails grew this pregnancy...I'm actually looking forward to that part being over because I got tired of constantly clipping them;) but the hair...I love that part!

Never had any issue with this at all. Weird. I keep taking my prenatals for as long as I'm bfing though so maybe that helps. I dunno though because my hair is so healthy that I really don't ever have to trim it. Maybe once a year. Interesting and curious.

My hair has always been healthy...no problems there but its just a different...almost softer texture the last month or so... I love it!

That's exactly how I would describe mine too... and my nails grew like crazy!! I've been a nail biter my entire life until I got pregnant with Sawyer and they grew so fast, I sorta phased out and I've been abstaining ever since! :)

This is me too! And yes... the hair falling out thing has happened in the first weeks of pregnancy, and then PP too. I wind up with all this new growth and I look like I have a punk hair do for a while (short spiky growth), it's very weird. *And* I take daily multivitamins and B vitamins! Weird, right?
