Hi everyone! I am new to this forum, well forums in general. I am a stay at home wife to my wonderful husband, a police officer for our local community. We have two daughters, ages 8 and 2 1/2. I run an in-home child care and preschool service, but in March I joined up with a group of moms and started another work at home business. My goal is to be able to work myself out of the daycare business so that I can make myself more available to my family. I am also taking online classes to help me learn more about running my businesses. I have really enjoyed these classes!
Family time is extremely important to me and my husband. We enjoy going camping and taking day trips to area museums and zoos. My oldest daughter is actually my step-daughter. We are fortunate to be able to spend time with her almost on a daily basis, but because of the daycare, we are usually home bound during the day. We used to make daily trips to the park or close by communities for picnics, but that's difficult to do with 8 additional children.
Our oldest attends public school, but my husband and I are pretty set on our youngest attending our local Catholic school. We are not Catholic, we're Protestant. However, our Episcopal Church services and overall faith are as close to the Catholic faith as it gets. I would welcome any thoughts or advice on this subject. We still have a couple more years before we actually have to make the decision, but we are trying to be proactive and are even considering posing the question to my husband's ex-wife to see if she would be willing to let our oldest trasnfer schools.
I look forward to "meeting" everyone! Have a great day!
