View Full Version : loosing hair

Is anyone else having problems with loosing their hair? I don't mean as in I am going bald but there seems to be an unusual amount of hair on my comb when I comb my hair - my gums are bleeding too so I know it's the pregnancy.

Might mention it to the midwife and ask if there is any suppliment she recommends or something?

It's probably just hormones, but if you are concerned you should always ask your midwife. Let us know what she says!

I think they are both pretty normal during pregnancy! I know my gums were much more sensitive and vbed during my last pregnancy.
I am now over 3 months postpardum and my hair is coming out a lot when I wash it and brush it! It is kind of anoying though, to find your hair all over the place! Esp. in the bathroom!

I shed alot of hair a few months after delivery of both of my babies. My beautician had warned me that would happen and it did. Stephanie

Yes both normal. I didn't have the hair loss until Abby was about 4 months old though. It lasted for 8 months or more though. I used to find a ton of it on my pillow each morning and on my comb, in the shower, on the floor, on my clothes UGH I don't know how I managed to have this much hair left! HAHA

It's due to all the hormones. I lost a ton of hair after my daughter was born for a couple of months. Their was hair everywhere! It is also normal to loose hair once you stop birth control pills due to the change in hormones.

Yes I figure it is from stopping the pill, I stopped taking it five months ago (it took me 4 months to conceive) - I have a friend in the states who is a hairdresser and she recommended a Redken product just to help me a bit :D It really isn't noticable that much because I have dark hair.
