Our 2yo has been giving our 9mo vocabulary lessons. And I think it's really, really funny to hear her chattering away, using these words that she has no idea of the meaning (like "uh-oh" or "yeah" out of nowhere). The only words that she uses that I think she knows the meaning of are "Mama" and "Dada", so I know she's no savant, lol. However, I've gotta say that I have given birth to the most polite baby girl to ever visit our local hospital.
DH took her there for her iron test, and she was reportedly very friendly to everyone she came across. According to DH, after the blood draw she started babbling the latest phrase her sister has taught her. "Thank you." The tech looked at my husband, kind of shocked, and asked, "Did she just say 'Thank You?'" It wasn't a surprise to him, she's been using it in her gab for days now, but he said it was pretty hilarious to see the look on the tech's face.
