Okay, so the time has come for my DH and I to have another stranger danger conversation with our eldest. She will be turning 9 in three weeks. We just got back from our family vacation where we flew to Orlando and back. This was her first time on an airplane but she seemed to do pretty well over all. Due to seating arrangements she was sitting with my other daughter (5 years old) across the aisle from us. I didn't have a problem with this simply because I was so close to her. Anyway, she strikes up some pleasant chit chat with the gentleman sitting next to her (40s). I don't have a problem with my daughter being polite but at one point I had to "in the nicest way possible" ask her to be quiet. While odds are nothing negative could come of it, I also don't want her volunteering where she goes to school or how she broke her arm when she was 5 to a complete stranger.

What is a good way for me to teach her that she needs to be more careful without making her fearful KWIM? I don't want to scare her but at the same time I want her to be cautious in her interactions with other people.

Thanks!
Sara

I believe John Walsh has a great video about Straanger Danger, I have heard about it but not seen it personally. This is a huge issue for us due to my family issues.
