Baby DS will be 3 in a few days. We've been in underwear only at home since the end of May. While we're out he is in Pull-ups. I did this same method with my older son and it worked. He was fully trained in #1 and #2 within 2 weeks. I've got 2 questions.

1. Do you think the pull-ups are causing him to not get it? I just didn't want to have a mess all the time in the car or when we're out.

2. Have any of you ladies tried these suggestions on the internet like Dr. Phil's method or Potty training in 3-5 days? Did it work?

TIA!

You could try cloth pull ups if you think that the disposable ones are causing more accidents.

How many accidents does he have typically? Is he dry all the time and you have him in the Pull Ups, "just in case" or does he have fairly regular accidents?

We had issues with Dd 2 and pullups. She would stay dry and clean while she was in underwear but once we put a pullup on it was like a free pass to mess in. Hard though because you don't want to have to mess with an accident while out. I like Ruth's suggestion and try a cloth pullup when going out to see if they work.

Thanks ladies. He was doing pretty well with no peeing accidents. Over the past weekend we were out of town and I used only pull-ups just to not worry about the mess. We were with family and the boys are totally out of schedule there. I did pick up a book today at a 1/2 price bookstore here. I guess it's just going to be a longer process than my elder son.
