I bought my first CD today! i am really excited to try this. I got it for night time because Evelyn always wakes up soaked. I bought a gently used Bumgenius. I will let you know how it goes!

very cool! Is it an all in one of a pocket? If the first night doens't go well, don't get discouraged you might have to play with it a little before figuring out the perfect combo. just shoot another topic for help if you need it.

it is a pocket diaper. the first night went well but she leaked last night. We are using a bumgenius pocket with a doubler and a hemp liner. She is a belly sleeper so she is always wet there. We ordered some off of ebay they are sunbaby 2.0 one size with snaps.... the reviews looked good. we don't have a big budget for this so we are starting slowly and hopefully these works. I figure I will have to buy some thick liners for night time. Any other advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated :)

sounds like you are on the right track! Do you have any chinese prefolds (good thick ones not the gerber kind) If you do you can take your hemp liner and close it inside the CPF then put that in your pocket. I sometimes find CPF are more absorbant (especially in a pocket) then the doubler. also how thick is your hemp. I have really nice long and thick ones by blue cloud, but one time I ordered some "hemp liners" that were very thin and totally unabsorbent. also you can get hemp prefolds that are wonderful for doing the same thing. If you don't, and you notice most of the leak in the front, put the doubler in, and then double up the hemp and put it only in the front, see how that works, I wish we lived closer so you could try all the different kinds I have to see what works best.

the hemp liner is pretty thin but it is what they recommended at the store for night time. i will look into something thicker. i wish we all lived closer too because i hate to spend money on something that doesn't work.
