When I was growing up my mom had a little box of Bible promises and you could pick one each day. I was thinking that it would be such a blessing and an encouragement if we would post a promise (or a few) a day. Or how about a verse that reminds us of who we are in Christ or how much He loves us or what He has prepared for us?

I know life can be difficult and we can do a pretty good job of beating up on ourselves and we sometimes need our vision brightened. But we are here to remind each other that "it will be worth it all when we see Jesus". So here is one of my favorites:


Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. (1Jo 3:2)

A promise from the Psalms:


Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.

I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye. (Ps 32:7-8 )

A promise from Romans:


For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Ro 8:38-39)

An encouragement from Ephesians:


Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. (Eph 1:3-6)

A blessing from Ruth:

The LORD recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust. (Ru 2:12)

From Zechariah:

Turn you to the strong hold, ye prisoners of hope: even to day do I declare that I will render double unto thee; (Zec 9:12)

From 1 Peter:


But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light; (1 Pe. 2:9)

From 1 Corinthians:


Wherefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not vain in the Lord. (1Co 15:58 )

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. (Ps 91:1)

From Isaiah:

The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined. (Isa 9:2)
