I was recently face with a family member and a friend's family who lost children. One was a 16 month old child, the other a premature child who did not make it. During this time God spoke to me and helped me create the following poem. After reading threads on this site, I thought I would share it with those here who have lost as well. I am hoping that I do not offend anyone by doing this and if I do i will totally understand if the moderators need to remove it. I hope you like it (I use that term loosely due to the subject at hand.)
Angels Arms
Today as I lay you
In the arms of the angels
Who have come from heaven
To carry you safely to God,
I try to stay strong
And I try to understand,
Why my precious little child
Has to leave me this way.
Today as I lay you
Into the protection and love
That comes in God’s arms,
I feel my heart breaking.
I know that you are happy
Not afraid or in pain.
But I long to hold you
And see your precious face.
Today as I lay you
In the arms of the angels
I know I will see you again.
I pray for the strength
To make it through the days
To not give up on life
For the sake of those
Still with me here on Earth.
Precious child may your smile
Brighten the heavens above.
May your love shine down here
Bathing us in it’s warmth.
Knowing you are happy
Knowing you are safe
Makes it only a bit easier
To lay you in the angels’ arms.

I need an honest opinion in regards to the use of this poem. I am starting a business that uses poems I create to make gifts for others. My question is what would be the best way to 'give' this poem to someone? In a card, a picture frame, or what other means sounds good?
I have asked my pastor to draw a picture that relates to the poem and I am thinking of combining the two into some form (ie card, box, pillow etc).
I, thankfully, have not had to endure this loss and I truly value the opinions of those who have to decide how getting this poem could have helped them.
Having said all that. I do want you all here to know that I would be honored if you were to choose to pass this poem on to anyone who might need it. Feel free to send anyone to me who may have any questions. God bless all of you!

I think that it would be really nice in a frame or a card.

Jypsi, that poem was lovely [crwy] . I think for that particular poem, it would be nice to have it as a border in a frame so that parents could put a picture of their child next to it (that is what I would do with the poem and a pic of my angel, anyway).

I like the idea of having it in a frame.
If I had a picture of my angel baby, I would love to put it next to the poem, however, I was not given a pic. of the ultrasound to see if the baby was alive when I started to miscarry (he was at the time of the u/s, just it was done in the ER, no pic offered sort of thing). Would it be possible to do it either way? A card would also be lovely with a thinking of you message inside.
Thanks for sharing that. I read it the other day and got weepy. It's been over a year since my Avery was born into heaven, and I have a new baby now, it still gets me sometimes to remember him. That I am really a momma to two babes, on here, one in heaven.
Thank you.

Crissy I didn't know that you had lost a baby.....so sorry honey...but yes God has sent to you a beautiful lil girl. I have a pic of Micaela but it is not one that I would want to put out. She was stillborn when I was 7 mths preg with her and only weighed 2 lbs. Even though she looks like the lil angel that she is it would just be to hard and our girls are still to young to explain things to and I don't know if dh and I are ready emotionally to tell Mady I think she is just to young. I haven't looked at that pic in a long time. This last Dec was 7 yrs. but God has also blessed us with two beautiful lil girls. I personally would like to have it in a card and put it with the other things that I have.

Yeah, we lost our first at nine weeks gestation. It was a horrid experience all around (not just the fact we lost him, but due to the ER and where I finally had him at after being assured I was just being paranoid by the ER doc on our second trip in, in two days). I do have a teddy bear for him and a Christmas ornament. I keep those out of public view in our home. Most people don't know about the m/c, and well, they don't need to. Though, I am better about it now. The bear is kept in our room on our night stand. The ornament is actually on the bookshelves in the living room, but it is a precious moments one and no one questions. I kept all the hospital paperwork and id bands and stuff and they are in an envelope that I have hidden. I don't think my DH even knows that I have it.
I don't know if we will ever tell our other kids (we aren't done with just Dainyah) or what. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.
