Sharing of the gospel and of God's love, that is. We do a lot of theorizing on the right ways to do it, which church does it right, and which ones are doing it wrong. I thought it would be nice to have a place where we could share encouraging stories of real life ways that we share our Christianity with non-believers, the gospel, love, etc. However small they may be, we probably all have things that happen on a daily basis, with our non-Christian or even Christian friends, things that are encouraging and glorify God.

I'll share a little one:

At my job, there is a known sex-offender who works there. One night when he wasn't there, the other guys in the kitchen kept trying over and over agin to tell me about it. It wa skind of annoying, but I took the opportunity to tell them that I don't like to talk about other people (gossip). I'm sure this was in stark contrast to the rest of the staff there who were laughing and making jokes and couldn't wait to "scare" me with the man's past. I also took the opportunity to say that we don't know the specifics of what he did, or how much he may have changed in his heart since then. I didn't openly start preaching the gospel, but I used the opportunity to set myself apart from the others who were participating.

[highfive] Wow, I'm so proud of you for not jumping on this band wagon! It is hard not to judge sex offenders. You showed a real strenghth of character in being willing to stand alone in Christ!

wow! You go girl, for standing up for what you believe in!!

but you know, seriously, the thing with the sex offender list, you don't know. I know a couple who have been married since we graduated from highschool, well shortly thereafter.
The started dating in middle school and then had a baby our freshman year. Her father had him charged with CSC with a minor (he was already 16 she was 15). Now they're married, happily, even have more children.
But b/c of the situation, he is a sex offender and can't work certain jobs that he would like.

I have a real llife praise report ( hope this is the right place for it)
My best friend had a baby 10 days ago ( her second). Her baby weighed 12 pounds and ,even though he probably shouldn't have, was born naturally! He had the cord wrapped arpound his neck, and the midwife (at the hospital) was not able to slide it over baby's head and so she cut it. THEN the baby got stuck (by his shoulders). When they finally got him out he was rushed to the NICU and was put on a repirator(life support) he was unable to breathe on his own. After MANY prayers he was breathing, all his tests came back normal (including a brain scan to check for oxegen deprivation). He was quickly taken off all medical support (IV's etc) once given the all clear, and is now home doing very well with is family. Praise God for his (and Mom's) well being!!!

I believe there are different types of "soul winning" I've done the door to door, or stop someone on the side of the road or coming out a store, but to me the soul winning that I truly enjoy is winning someone through my own testimony or allowing them to see that Christianity is not scary or boring. I get together once a week at the park with another ladie, who is not saved. She is a Scientist. ANyhow, I meet people at the park all the time. I always introduce myself, and chat a while. I invite them to our church or invite them to meet with us for a playgroup each week and then we become friends. I then invite them over to our house for dinner and I will try to talk to them to see where they stand biblically. I always look for a way to talk about God or Salvation when speaking with someone. It's exciting and I feel like I'm making God proud.
