Just curious when you girls started wearing maternity with your pregnancies? I feel like I'm WAY too early but at 16+ weeks its the only thing that feels like it fits and the only comfy thing in my closet...
Also where do your favorite maternity things come from... fav store to shop... and fav piece of maternity wear?

I *love* Motherhood... and Targer. Both are great places to find deals, especially if you can find a Motherhood Outlet. I also did a lot of Maternity shopping on Craigslist! I couldn't believe all the clothes I got that way. I think my favorite "can't live without it" is were the jeans, and 3/4 sleeve Tees. You can wear them anywhere and dress that up or down. A couple pairs of black pants were a great add on too.

I started wearing maternity clothes earlier and earlier... this past pregnancy I wasn't even 10 weeks and I was in maternity. I find that I bloat earlier and earlier and maternity (or just elastic waist) are much more comfortable. :)

locally we have a very small maternity store selection. I am always unhappy with my clothes. I usually buy at our second hand baby/mother stores. Jeans are my must have, but in the summer a cool summer dress.

I always bloat WAY early. I usually am more comfortable in maternity cloths around 7 weeks. They are pretty big on me at that point but I find that if I have anything tight on my tummy it makes my morning sickness so much worse.

I think as they say every pregnancy is different, it will feel necessary at different times for different people and pregnancies! I am now in week 18 of my first pregnancy, and my mom took me maternity clothes shopping last week! :-D She spent way too much on me, but it was fun! We have a Motherhood Outlet in my area and I love everything I got. It is all super comfy.

I had gotten down to having only one pair of pants and one pair of shorts that fit comfortably, both obviously were too big pre-pg. The pants have a tie in the waist, so I was able to wear them before but just tighten the waist to fit. Everything else, even elastic waist pants, just didn't feel good on... too tight.

I ended up trying some different styles on. I generally have to do this anyway because I'm so petite, but I think it's a good idea to do with maternity clothes. They look different from regular clothes and I guess are made to fit differently since we have this growing belly...

I found that some styles I definitely did not like on and some things I might not normally wear looked better on than others (more form fitting clothes ... I usually like my clothes not to be too form fitting, but with a growing belly, I felt like those styles were better because it was more obvious that I'm pregnant and not just gaining weight). I'm home, so I bought all casual stuff. Did get a cute tiered dress that is all cotton and will be cool and dressy casual in the summer when needed. I got two tanks and some short sleeved shirts that are cinched (?) at the sides. I did not at all like some of the v-neck sleeveless tops I tried on... not flattering on me at all.

Have fun shopping! This was definitely a pregnancy highlight for me. Still waiting to feel baby move.....

First pregnancy I started wearing maternity clothes about 4 mos. Second pregnancy I was determined to make it to the end of the first trimester before donning the dreaded maternity clothes and *barely* made it (most uncomfortably I might add.)

Back when I had to buy clothes, I usually went to Kohls or Motherhood or even ebay. Since then I've seen that Good Will carries maternity as well - I've seen Mimi and Gap.

I love Bella Bands! google them :)

Motherhood and friend's closets are where I 'shop' the most. I figure I'm only wearing them for a few months so why spend a lot of money...
(except the bands - I have gotten a LOT of use out of those... good for nursing to cover your belly when you pull your shirt up/)

Maternity/nursing bras... I got off diaperswappers for 5 bucks

I got a couple cute things at garage sales and M2M sales, too. Total spent on maternity wardrobe: $120 (including 2 brand new Bella Bands)

hehe, I know what you mean! I really liked the under-tummy-stretchy-waisted pants, but they were FOREVER falling down. I was always hiking them up! I didn't like think on my belly either, but I would consider the bella band next time rather than having my pants falling down all the time. LOL! :-)
