Rhiana has done really well with potty training except with poop. We have had some setbacks and difficulties. For those who don't know about 2 weeks after we started potty training Rhiana was diganosed with a bowel infection and was put on a special diet and meds. The diet kept her from pooping for about 4 days. After that she never pooped on the potty, always in her panties. For the longest time we knew it would just take longer for her to poop on the potty. So we just kept encouraging her and telling her to tell us when she had to poop so we could go on the potty. Well about 2 weeks ago we had a breakthrough. She told us she had pooped on the potty, at first I thought "no way" but I realized that she was not wearing her panties and so I headed to the potty to check. Sure enought there was poop in the potty. I was so pumped! When I found her panties a few mintues later they were clean. What we think happened is she pulled off her panties in her room, ran to the bathroom and pooped and then came and told us. We were so happy, we made a big deal about it. She knew what to do!! Now I knew that it wouldn't be perfect from then on but it was a great start. But now 2 weeks later and nothing has happened since. It is getting very frustrating, She know what to do but won't do it. So I am wondering how to deal with this. should we discipline her for not doing it? Because just telling her to tell us is not working. I have even offered her treats for pooping but then she thinks that she can get them for just peeing when that is not the case. What should we be doing?
