I have recently discovered Preschoolians because my husband is the outdoors type and wanted our son to have a protective sole. I love Robeez and love the flexible shoe for when he would walk. SO I did some searching and found this company. They won the time life invention of the year for their see through toe window. So you can see when the shoes are too small! They give me the peace of having him learn to walk in a soft-soled show, while my husband has the peace of taking him outside in a waterproof, protective sole. Website is www.preschoolians.com

Sometimes they are on ebay. But you can't be picky about what you want. They don't have all designs on there. I have the stay warm brown boots for my son because I live in cold weather and I don't like his legs to be out in the cold air when I am carrying him.

Oh NO ... They are soooooo cute. I am going to have get DD a pair or two..I think they have a larger & cuter selection than Robeez. Do you have any of the Preschoolians? Do they stay on as well as Robeez?

I did mention the boots that I have. They are the stay warm boots. I tried the boots with the puppies on them, but the ankle opening was too big. I don't have any of the shoes that resemble Robeez. but I am sure that the quality is awesome, because the boots I got are awesome. I love them.

Ds has Preschoolians when ds was younger, they were great. The only thing is be careful of the time of year you order them; their factory is in China, and when I happened to order a pair last winter it was during Chinese New Year so their factory shut down for a couple of weeks...well it took 6 weeks for me to get the shoes I ordered, after being told it would only take 2 weeks, and by the time I got them the shoes were too small for ds (I even purposely ordered them a size too big). Other than that they are great shoes.

These look great. I have a pair of robeez knock offs (the jack and lily ones), and katherine LOVES them. I mean she is not walking or crawling yet, but I put them on her feet and she just plays with her feet for like an HOUR, lol... so if she is upset for some reason i just put on her shoes and she calms down. Either that or gets more excited because her shoes excite her LOL

These look great for going outside though!! Esp. because it can get pretty wet/icy/snowy so much better, b/c the robeez type can get soaked on the bottom pretty easily i would think. Not that i've tested them outside.

I wish we adults got neat shoes too.

Ouch, those aren't cheap! They're really cute and all, and seem like a good idea...but for that money...wow...

Yeah. My heart was ok, but my pocketbook about had an attack when I saw the prices LOL!!!

It wouldn't be a big deal if they last through more than one kid.

But, I don't think my dd needs $50 fur boots that won't last her even 2 years though. LOL!! I didn't even spend that much on MY winter boots, and mine will last for years (hopefully) b/c my feet are done growing.

Shoes are the 1 thing we have to buy for dd when she gets older b/c she won't get hand-me-downs because all the stuff we get goes through 5 kids... the clothes are pretty decent but i've noticed that the shoes get a bit worn on the bottom by then.

I got 2 pairs of preschoolians last year for ds NIB off a GREAT e-bay seller for much less than they go for on the website (I don't remember his ebay user id, but I have the e-mail addy if anyone wants to buy from them).

I think that the idea and design of the shoes are great, but with the styles I got I found that the shoes were reeeeally hard to get on ds but that they were really easy for him to kick off no matter how much I tightened them. They were definitely the perfect size for him once they were on, it was just opening them enough to fit in his little wiggly foot and then getting the shoe to stay closed that was a problem.

If I had to do it over again I would avoid any style with the toggle-elastic closure like this one: http://preschoolians.com/item.asp?cat=204&iid=2026&id=25208
And try a different style instead that was velcro or lace-up only.
