When I took our son to the sitter yesterday, I put him in a time-out right before I left. :?
Yeah...when my husband picked him up, he was in a time-out.
But today was a much better day for him. :D

LOL! I can understand totally. DS just turned 2 in December, but I think he's been 2 for a lot longer than that!!

I don't really believe in the whole terrible two's concept, but feel that it is that age that they are beginning to really notice their own feelings, but yet do not know how to express them.
Our children are all very strong willed kids, esp. Bri. He is fifteen months and it's a wonder on some nights that dh and I don't just chain him up and take turns beating him. (sarcasm, here, we would NEVER do that.)
He's into the "NO" and all and throwing himself on the floor if he doesn't get his way.
Like, today, he was given a PBJ for lunch, and didn't want that. he wanted a wopple (waffle) and I wouldn't give it to him. I gave him the peanut butter sand. he threw it all in the floor, had a tantrum, got time out, recovered, then unfortunately, got his wopple.
dh is home today b/c of the weather, and he keeps asking, "does he always do this", well, yeah, why do you think I put them down for naps when it's time for you to get home? that way you can calm down and rest a little first. he looked me in the eye, and said, "babe, thanks. A LOT" LOL

I remember when Blake turned 2, one of my single aunts said, "Now you'll have to go through the terrible twos." And I said, "Actually the "terrible twos" started at about 18 months!"
oh yes, those 2 year olds are the center of the world, aren't they?
Good thing they're so cute!

I have to say that ever since that day, things have gone well with him, especially at the sitter's. We still have our moments, but for the most part, I can't complain
