My daughter has had a few green BM lately (one of them quite mucusy too). I have a feeling that it is normal for babies that are several months old to occasionally produce green BMs. If it is a breastfed baby does this relate to something the mother is eating? Can someone reassure me on this?

Katherine had green BMs when she was very little b/c she was not getting enough hindmilk (the more fatty part of breastmilk). If they only get foremilk (sugary, watery type of breastmilk), they can get gas & green poops. It can hurt their tummy or not bother them at all.
Katherine still gets an occasional green poop if we nurse in a hurry and don't take the time to make sure she gets enough hind milk.
There might be other causes for green poop but I don't know what they are.

Abby got this a couple of times. It was usually when she was getting a cold or virus of some sorts.
