I was just wondering how many women typically make it TO or PAST their due date. What has been your pregnancy(ies) length. Have you ever made it to 40 weeks or beyond? :)

So far I've made it to 35 weeks with twins (which is pretty long for a twin pregnancy), 37 weeks twice, and 42 weeks with my youngest.

This time my due date is quickly coming on the 9th! :)

hehe! Feeling antsy, girlie? [lovesmile]

As probably everyone knows by now, my C's were planned before conception and were scheduled to be early (around 37 weeks) to keep babies from coming on their own. But I'm also a pre-term labor gal, and would start contracting and dilating (2-3 cm) at around six months. Scared us to death with the first two, but got used to it after. Never had to go over, but did have to deal with constant contractions. Honestly, never found them to be terribly uncomfortable. More scary, and sort of annoying. The only real painful one was Carissa as she got big because her positioning was so way wrong.

You're getting so close, dahling! Could be any second now. Yaay!! Can't wait!! [claploud]

LOL- poor jrbl =)

Emme was 4 1/2 hours late
Brandon was a day early according to the doc.s "wheel" and a week early according to my knowing when I ovulated- something the two of us argued over the entire time. Either way, I'm glad he wasn't late cause he was significantly bigger then Em and I wouldn't have wanted him to get any bigger than he was.

Actually, I feel sooooo much better than I did before~ Amazing what praying and having ladies pray *for* you will do! God is so good~ I just am finding that I have a lot of time on my hands today, and wanted something to do... so I thought I'd ask how far everybody else has made it~ :) Out of curiosity~

But yes, I *do* hope he comes sooner rather than later~ :)

Oh, I'm so glad, Jen! I always felt like the last days of pregnancy were so special. You'll never again be able to hold them as closely and be able to care for them so perfectly. It's just a beautiful time. [heartbeat] Of course, I wonder if it's easy for me to say that, never having to 'wonder' when the big day would come. I did have a ten pound baby (bulked up by meds), but it wasn't all that uncomfy, even with my smaller frame.

Checking every day to see if it's go-time for you! Just so exciting. I'm sitting here with a huge grin on my face. [cheerful] It's better than Christmas! [lovesmile]

Eldest was 9 days late according to the midwife who insisted on an induction. She was one day late calculated off ovulation and the day I know we got pregnant. She was conceived on a 36 day cycle and the midwife calculated her due date off a normal 28 day cycle.

Second was six days late according to my calculations, three days early according the midwife. Glad we were reversed that time as I was in no way wanting to fight against another induction (at the beginning of February, she was talking of inducing the day of my due date...I said no, and yeah, she was too drug happy...she's no longer with our hospital system so no more worries about her, not like I was going to use her again anyway, but there still would have been a chance of delivery with her depending on day of going into labor. No, I'm not preggo). This time the midwife calculated her due date off an early ultrasound, which she insisted was needed as no PPAF...I told her when I conceived, when I had gotten the positive pregnancy test and how it confirmed when I KNEW I had ovulated. For some "strange" reason, I measured nearly two weeks bigger than I should have....go figure.

Your wee one will come. When God evicts him of his nice safe and warm home. Not before, not after. It isn't going to be long. Until then, well, I'm sure you know how to um, prod things along for prep work....and I'm not talking castor oil. ;)

Rhiana was about 2 days late. In the end, though, my midwife was wondering if my dates where wrong becuase she was so big. Maybe she was even later then we thought.

Me too! Especially with the impetus to induce. I love reading these.

I made it to my due date (had Natalia only 2 days earlier than the due date they gave me) .... :)

Jen: We will see pics of Wyatt this week! Isn't that great??? :)

Rach: My friend.... I am getting the "need of another baby" just from reading about you and the others that are pregnant! ;)

I have to come to my senses though! I am enjoying sleeping through the night too much!

LOL!

Yes, 18mo. I can't believe it either... Sometimes I see her walking around the house and I wonder who she is and where she came from LOL!

My babies were always overdue, but usually no more than 5 days. Our oldest was 11 days overdue, though. [whatwacko]

Let's see 40 weeks, 3 days with A. 39 weeks with E. I was induced both girls. With oldest it was because the doc pressured me because I was past 40 weeks. With E I was induced because I was measuring next to no amniotic fluid. This time around I won't induce and have a doc who will support that.
