just took a dollar store test and there were deffinately two lines though the second one was faint- very faint. I could see it from leaving the test on the sink top, standing up straight, and looking down so, it wasn't like I could only see it by micro-examination up close LOL=) It's a dollar store test though so, I'm not totally convinced yet BUT, we maybe have a baby!!!!!

Where's the First Response Early Result? ::snort:: Does the second line have color at all or is it gray? With my dollar trees there was *always* a second line, but if it was - it was gray, if it was + it had a slight purple-ish color to it. :) I too have a few faint lines running around here~ ::snort:: :)

I have never used the dollar store ones, but my first one was a very faint line... and I'm now a little over 7 weeks:) Good luck!

@jen- purple!
me and the kids are on maine's version of po' people heath care and I *just* (literally minutes ago after bugging the crap out of them for over a month to get back to me) found out my health care eligibilty ends the end of febuary (though the kids have it for another year) and about the only thing that will change that is pregnancy (maybe). . .seems God hopefully allowed this just in the right time and funny to have found out about health care after taking the test. If I'm not preggers I'm sure God has other plans for us. . .a little freaked out right now but, trying not to be as I'm sure God knows what he's doing and at least the kids are covered- he's never let us down before but, next year I think I don't want to take the chance again- we'll just have to bight the monthly bullet and be broke because of health care costs. *crying* I hate that we have to worry about heath care costs. . .I wish I was in canada even if the labs don't have rooms;)

Sounds like there is a bean a sprouting. And don't worry, most states make allowances for maternity for stuff like that. And if that isn't the answer, rest assured God has another plan. As we have found out, God won't give you a blessing and then not a means to take care of it. He's been faithful in that regard for us for our nearly five years of marriage and all the adventures and blessings we've had. He'll do the same for you.

thanks all=) I took another test and it had a faint line too. I then got ahold of my docs office and they ordered a blood test which I did this afternoon- so, i'll know for sure tomarrow. Before I heard from the healthcare place I was wondering around the house in hopeful bliss thinking that if I am preggers this baby is God's baby. What I mean is that I really wanted to be preggers with emme even though pete wanted to wait a bit, But, God gave me emme. Even though I really wanted a second child and had to wait through the pain of 21/2 years of trying it was pete her for godly reasons greatly desired a son. . .so, brandon was pete's baby. This one we're both ready for but, not clammering to get so I had the thought that this one was God's- they all are but, this one isn't us needing, it's God giving. So, all that to say, I'm going back to that thought when I think about health care coverage. . .we won't have tried if we had known we weren't covered- I really thought I would be. God didn't allow me to find out until today *of all days*. He has a plan here and I'm gonna rest in it. maybe I'll be looking into that birth center or maybe homebirthing after all;) suddenly, not be covered by insurance is making me feel brave. I don't like to be surprised by the gender but, maybe I'll have to be. . .so, maybe that all will be fun?? I'm good now. You got my instant reaction here earlier. I was literally bringing up c'moms to check comments on this thread when I was talking to the lady from the health care place,s o you guys are on the cutting edge of news updates- feel privilaged??? ;)

I sure feel privileged! :) I got to be "in on it" before you were sure. ::snort:: I love holding my breath with ladies who are waiting to see that BFP come up on a test! I think it's soooo exciting~ This is part of what I love about C-moms... being able to be there for each other, through faint lines, morning sickness, new babies, weight loss... whatever! :) I'm so excited for you Gal! And God sure does have a plan~ I understand about the insurance stuff as we went through something similar and both felt like, "Well, God gave us this blessing (the baby), and He doesn't bless with strings attached!" God will provide for ALL your *needs*! :) I can't wait to find out about your blood test gal! Woo hoo!

Homebirthing is definitely a HUGE financial discount compared to a traditional birth. That's one side benefit that we enjoyed. (although we chose it for its many other benefits too)

I hope that you find the option that is right for you and congratulations again!

Congratulations Ren! So happy for you. I feel you when it comes to the whole insurance issue. We're kind of in the same boat. I have insurance but we still can't afford to have this baby. The out of pocket expenses and such. But it is all in God's hands.

Btw; my two tests were both dollar store tests. They work better I think than the expensive tests from Walmart. Got my answers in less than a minute.
