well I am really stressed and worried today. as some of you know I am nurse at a nursing home and now 2 of my patients have come down with chickenpox. I called my primary doc, since my OB hasn't established care with me till my appointment, and he said that I need to be transfered to a different part of the building. So I called my boss, had to let her know I am pg (which I wasn't planing on till the end of 3rd month) and now I know everyone is going to wonder why I am on a different wing, because I am the head charge nurse on my wing. I just feel stressed because I have already been exposed for MANY days to chickenpox. Plus I don't have as much nausea for the past 2 days, still tired and have some indigestion, BUT in the books I am reading it says that is better to have lots of symptoms because you will be less likely to m/c. and now I have told ALL these people that I am pg and if I do m/c it will not be a quiet m/c but very public and I just don't want that. AHHH I am just so upset about all of this, I know God has it all in control but I am just stressed out and scared. I mean what If I m/c tomorrow...its like all of this for nothing and just so much heartache. I don't know, maybe this should have been in the gripe box, I just need some prayer [cry]

I will pray for you...
Also I wanted to tell you that I had a m/c between my dd and ds... and so when I got pregnnat with my ds and had no morning sickness or breast tenderness I freaked out!!!
Most symptoms of pregnancy will hit full force at 6weeks... I hope that is the case with you!

Praying. You never had chicken pox as a child, huh? God is still in control. Has to be scary. Lots of prayers!

Becky,
I'm praying for you. Also, the symptoms being a little lighter on one day could mean nothing. I had days where my symptoms let up and it was scary, but they returned. I think you will have days where you feel a little better than others. God is watching over you and this baby. Pray about your fears and for guidance. He will be there for you and watch over you.

Praying for you Becky!! Don't let the symptoms bother you...that will just add to the stress. With all of my healthy pregnancies I was never sick. No morning sickness, tender breasts...any of it. But with all of my m/c I was sick. I don't believe symptoms have as much to do with it as some like to make it.
Hang in there and lean on the Lord.

Becky,
I found this post on March of Dimes about chicken pox. It was reassuring to me. There are very minor chances of anything going wrong. See at the bottom where it says to get a special injection which is safe for you and baby.

I'm praying for you Becky. It's hard not to be worried or filled with anxiety, so I will pray God will grant peace over your mind and that the co-workers in your environment will be gentle with your baby news.

I'll be praying for you! Just want to reassure you that with our 3 I was not sick at all. The only one I felt sick with was the one I miscarried, so you really can't go by that as a sign. Try to relax and not worry. We all love you! Jen

pheww, well thank you ladies for your prayers. Thank you grace for that site, it REALLY put my mind at ease. I have already had chickenpox and I already know my titer (the blood test to see how many antibodies you have) is perfect, so I wasnt worried until everyone started talking about "well at least no one is pg" and it got me worried that I called my physician and they made me feel even worse. I thought that I would be just fine because I had had chickenpox before, but then I started questioning everything. but the march of dimes site really reassured me of what I already know. So I don't have stress anymore. However my boss has taken me off my wing anyways, and I can't go back until it all clears up...which is fine because I still would rather be safe then sorry. I do have to remind myself that God is in control, I was just having a very hormonal night last night. I was so upset about that and Neal being a butt that I cried hystericly for 1 and a half hours to the point to hyperventalating...which all was reassuring that YES I AM PREGNANT.
thank you all again for your prayers, they mean so much to me.

Yeah, I don't know that symptoms mean all that much. I had maybe 2-3 weeks of very mild morning sickness with my pg. and it all turned out just fine. HUGS.

I'm glad you are at ease about it now. I remember how worried I was when I was pregnant too and finding out some good info will really put your mind at ease. Stephanie :D

Glad you are feeling better! God is good. If you had chicken pox before you need not worry! :D
Glad to hear you're feeling better!
I miscarried our first baby, then got a phone call the day that I found out I was pregnant with our next, telling me that dh's friend, who we'd had dinner with the night before, had come down with chicken pox! And I'd been eating his leftover chips off his plate, too
Needless to say, I was terrified, even though I'd had cp as a child. All was well however! I do understand the panic you can feel though!
