Okay, so I have recently started charting and I have three months worth of information right now. I have been on the Nuva Ring from February through November and then starting in November, I went off of birth control completely and I started my cycle on the 13th. Since then I have ALWAYS started my cycle on the 13th of each month. In December and January I did start light spotting on the 12th but AF hit full force on the 13th complete with cramping and the necessary 2 pounds of weight gain. By the 16th of each month everything is over with and life continues as normal.

Would you say that I have a 30 day cycle? Are there any good on-line tools that I can use to measure things like this? I have used Google and found a few but they only chart one month at a time and they don't seem to look at any history in your cycle. I am really hoping that my cycle is 30 days in length. I should be returning home around the 16th -17th of May and if everything remains the same I should be ovulating around the 21st(ish).

Second question...obviously (TMI) when I return home after six months apart hubby and I will be doing our fair share of BDing. Is it going to cause any problems with us BDing frequently a few days prior to when I ovulate? To be completely honest I don't think I could even stop or make him wait a few days even if I wanted to...which I most certainly do not. (wink) My only hope would be to try to spend an extra night in Baltimore when I return home and rather than flying home LATE on night I would have to fly home early the next day. Sorry.....

Thanks!
Sara

I'm using Fertility Friend for charting, and no, there's absolutely no problem with BDing before you O - in fact, that's exactly when you should be BDing! Gives those little guys some time to swim up to meet the egg in the fallopian tubes. Have fun girl!

I would say BD as much as you want - you two will need some time to reconnect when you get home and that is not the time to stress about TTC. Some people only BD every other day when TTC, but dh and I try not to let TTC get in the way of our fun.
I've used fertility friend for online charting, too - easy, free and fun to share on here, lol. TYCOF used to have Ovusoft, but it looks like they are now looking for volunteers to beta-test something new instead. If I were going to buy something, I'd probably buy CyclePro at ccli.org because I took a class with them and it was really helpful. I am not sure if that is online or if that is just a program you install on one computer, though...

If you (or anyone) wants a paper and pencil backup (I always keep a paper record in additon to the online one) to print out and keep there are some free here:

and/or you can graph it on something like this:

Yup, Fertility Freind works great. If you are TTC for specificaly a boy or girl, then you might want to time your BDing. The closer to O gives you a greater chance for a boy. If you want a girl, try BDing the day before or the day after O. If you really don't care... GO FOR IT and enjoy!!!

Talk to Rachel about Fertility Friend...she had issue with it I think. She uses Fertility Gal now . . . if I remember correctly . . .

I chart on my phone. I was able to get an android phone and in the apps store is an app called My Days. I love it. You can chart temp, last cycle, it predicts when the next should start, DTD, if you took a pill, and has an option to input notes. Then, if you want, you can email it to people (like the doc, yourself, etc.). I used to just do pencil and paper. Too much hassle to get on the computer for that for me.

And don't worry about DTD when you get home. And if it takes a month, fine, but have fun. You have been apart so long, I wouldn't keep your husband waiting any longer than necessary. Though, Feb. babies are nice too if it happens the next month. (youngest is, got preggers with her the end of May/beginning of June). Besides, you may get off a bit with the joy and stress of getting back, so it could end up delayed that month a bit (which would work out very nicely for you then).

And it does look like you have a 30 day cycle or so. Any idea when you ovulate in it? That will help in determining.

Just don't stress over this right now. I think you'll be fine.

I second the fact that February babies are nice! ;) I preferred being largely pregnant during the winter rather than during the summer.

I second the others, I wouldn't worry about things, just have fun and enjoy reuniting with hubby.
