That is my son...oh my...so far we have found that he is allergic to oatmeal, sweet potatoes, regular formula, pumpkin, apple juice, applesauce, and pears. the only things he has eaten without getting a rash is green beans, peas, peaches, white grape juice, and rice cereal. Now we are trying corn so we will see what happens there.

We also think he may have a latex allergy, and I have to be very careful with what I was his clothes in.

I am not used to having a sensitive baby as Abigail was eating regular table food with us by this point (mashed of course). Iam trying to go slow to make sure he doesn't have a severe allergy, but I could use some encouragement here.

Did any of you have sensitive babies that turned out not so sensitive as they grew older? What are your experiences with food allergies and the like.

My Nathan is a red haired-fair skinned guy...are there others like him that aren't overly sensitive all through life?

I have heard of babies outgrowing allergies, but I do have some advice to think about. My dd is 11mos and so far so good. I have taken her to a pediatric chiropractor since she was 4 days. My chiro explained how their tiny spines are sometimes twisted during childbirth and then as they learn to sit and stand they are constantly toppling over, knocking vertebraes out of alignment. He does not promise anything. He says that he puts the spine back into alignment so that the body can heal itself, the way God intended it to. I have seen/heard other children get off of meds and become healthier (asthma, allergies...). If you feel this is a good option please do some research as not all chiros are the same. Please pray about this and let me know if you need help. It may be a great option.

My dh is a redhead and fair skinned. He had allergies as a baby and has most definately outgrown them. When we married, I had to be careful what I washed our clothes in. After 15 yrs, I've tried other things and by trial and error we have found that there are other choices. Both our ds's are not allergic though. But it is a hard thing to go through, even as seeing it from an adult point of view.
