Do you have them? How long do you keep them? I have been cleaning them with the Clorox anytime spray that says it's safe for toys. DS who's 2 plays with them. Most of the time he just has a quick bath. TIA!

We have ducks, boats, the foam letters and bath puzzles along with play kitchen pots and pans and a few of my tupperware knock offs. I keep them in a milk crate under the counter in my bathroom. Then, every so often I throw them in the washing machine with borax and baking soda and vinegar for the rinse. Does a great job cleaning them. I prefer the solid ducks and toys that don't have squeeze holes for squirting water as trapped water can cause mildew in the toys. If it starts looking yucky and doesn't clean, I toss them (when the kids aren't around...) The kids love them, and I like letting them play in the tub. About once a week, I break out the bubbles from summer and blow them into the tub. They really love that.

. I have containers that drain out the bottom (like a tiny hole), that nest inside each other....i usually give my kids cups, pitchers, etc to pour from one container into another....also a few toys that do not squirt (a duck that is a hand puppet is made out of wash cloth material, for example) they used to have a few toys that squirted but I don't really like them since they are impossible to keep clean.

When they are not in use often they are found in my sink and I just use hubby's sink lol!

I put the bath toys through the dish washer periodically and on the hot cycle. This typically kills anything that really concerns me. I also make sure to throw out any that I suspect might have mildew but the other stuff gets washed usually once a month.

I also have these bathtub markers and crayons that Crayola makes but you have to make sure to rinse the markings off pretty quickly or it takes quite a lot of elbow grease to get them fully off.

I ditto the bath tub crayons. My kids loved them. However, around out tub is tiled, and no matter how quickly you try to get it off, it takes a TON of scrubbing to get it off the grout. Inside the tub (not a textured one, that would be horrible to remove) it was easy. The kids absolutely loved having them though (after we ran out, I didn't replace them, figured if Grandma wanted to buy them again, fine, I didn't have the money for it as I thought it was expensive)

I know there are recipes out there to make home made colored bath fizzies and stuff. That may be fun to try.

Thanks for all the replies especially about the bath crayons. I always have thought they looked like fun but it sounds like we don't need any. I mostly have plastic toys. I don't like those squeezable ducks and such that have the holes in the bottom. They really do mildew quickly. I'd never thought about the dishwasher.
