Surprise Pregnancy!!

Hi Everyone!
Guess what???? I am pregnant!!
I have two kids, who were conceived through fertility treatments (PTL!). In August 2005 we found out we were pregnant (we did it without treatments!!) We were shocked and elated, unfortunately in Sept 2005, I lost the baby. I was told I had a blighted ovum (the baby stopped growing at some point during first 12 weeks). I was devistated! It was a hard road this past year, since my DH and I could not agree on having more kids. He did not want to have more, and I desperately did. Well, here we are...PREGNANT!! YIPPIE!!
I have never had regular periods, so I occassionally do a PT just to check. I bought one today, fully expecting a negative...well within seconds TWO PINK LINES appeared. DH has been chuckling all day about it! Seriously, he is fine, shocked but fine.
I am so thrilled!! I am just nervous...I mean, what if I loose this baby too?? What if it is the same thing I had last time. I am afraid and I don't want to be. I want to trust that God has given me a gift!!
Help me believe!!
I go in two weeks to have an Ultrasound. Gosh, i gotta wait two weeks!!
I have no idea when I am due, how far along I am (the last period I had was in Sept!!).
I just have to tell someone!!
I want to wait to tell my family, since we rushed off and told everyone we knew last time, then had to go back and tell them we lost the baby).

Ladies, I need your prayer/support and words of encouragment. Thanks so much,

I'll be praying hard for you!!! How exciting! We waited until after I was 3 mo. along to tell everyone with our last baby because I had the same thing happen with a m/c. Hope everything goes really well this time.

Well, things now add up...I mean, my breasts were tender, but I just figured I must be getting my period soon. I have been so tired of "wishing" that the symptoms were there that I didn't at all think anything!
I have been tired! BUT I have also had a cold, so I figured that was it. I mean, twice now I fell asleep on the couch in the middle of the day!
I also got on the scale...I have gained about 7 pounds in 2 weeks!! I have got to be more than just a few weeks along...maybe 8?

Aww...YAY!! I'm so happy for you!! I understand the whole deal with loosing the baby...we're going to wait a while when we get pregnant again too...I hope that everything works out! What a way to start off the new year! :D

WOW this is the month for c'moms and pregnancy! Congrats on your suprize! What an amazing gift. I know it is so hard not to worry about mc but just lean on the Lord and try to be thankful each day you wake up with pg symtoms, that God has been SO gratious to give you one more day of being your little babies mom and means of survival. God is so good. I keep wondering how far along I am. Imagine if I go in there and am close to 12 weeks!! I guess I will just have to wait and see. I will def post!!! Thanks everyone!!

(as most of you are aware, I do see every child as a blessing from the Lord and do not use any form of b/c, willing and ready to take each and every blessing whenever He chooses for it to come..I'm just saying...I do not have 'baby lust' right now or anything, I'm content with what I have, my baby is nearly 1 yr now, so, I'm sure 'it could happen' any time now (judging by my history), I would just *rather* it not be for another year yet :D)

YAY!!! what fun!!!! 2 weeks :shock: we're all gonna DIE!

my words of encouragment- I've been a total FREAK with this pregnancy about loosing it. I'm really tense about it. In a worried frenzie one night I called my mom's friend who is a nurse. She said that she thought I was doing a good job with being responsible for the things that I could control. . .she graciously went on to say things like give it up and there is stuff we can't control and no doc. or nurse can give me what I'm looking for- assurance that everything will be ok. So, in the waiting over the next couple of weeks try to remember there are things you can control and things you can't- those are God's things. This friend of my mom's is not a christian but, she gave me the kind rebuke I needed and the thought has been helpful. My emotions seem to get the better of me before I realize it and I'm trying to just rest in God for what I can't control -ren

It seems like there is something going around! Maybe I had better be careful...I want more kids, but not quite this soon after giving birth. [rofl]
