I was wondering if any of you ladies have experienced cramp-free AF's since giving birth. I have had two cycles and each time I had no cramps. (I wouldn't even have known she was coming except I've got a very regular cycle.) But before having Abby I would get horrible cramps. I'm wondering if it is my body's way of getting used to the pain. For example, I got in a car accident when I was 17 and had lots of surgery. After the first couple of surgeries, I hardly felt any pain at all with the other ones. Now I have a high pain threshold. so I'm just wondering if any of you ladies have experienced this?

After each child my monthly visitor ended up changing drastically. I never had pms until after having children, but my periods were less than normal and painless.
Now that I'm entering into my mid-30's it is all changing again....sigh.

My periods changed after my babies too. They seemed to have gotten lighter and lighter but this past month I had bad cramps which I normally do not have. I have heard though that as you get older they get more unpredictable and irregular  . Stephanie :D

Hey Eva! :D Oh, yah... I had horrible cramps before having kids. Just horrible! [crybawl] After my first (Scotty), my cramps totally disappeared. I never have them anymore. [dance] The only cramps I've had since having Scotty was when I was getting pregnant with each subsequent baby. Ouch!!

Oh yah, and my periods started getting lighter when I turned 35, which was long after baby number four was born. I just don't know how I feel about that. It's nice having a lighter flow, but it does mean I'm getting older. :? Well, at least I still look 18! [OK] Ummm-hmmmm... riiiight! [whistle]

Mine vary from time to time. Sometimes i get bad cramps and sometimes I don't get any at all... I have noticed the cramping isn't quite as bad since I had a kid.

I have been like 200% more hormonal during these times though. I used to not ever get PMS but now ... you'd better watch out!! LOL

I haven't had AF return since having had Dainyah. However, after our miscarriage my cramps pretty well had left. I used to get cramps so bad before that, that I would have to blow them off like a contraction when you aren't supposed to push yet. After the m/c, I never had the cramps like before. Part of me can't wait to get AF back, to see if I get cramps or not. However, I like having her gone too.

My mom was the opposite. She didn't get cramps until after she had us kids. Interesting on how different we all are, isn't it?

Mine aren't as bad as they used to be! My cramps would hurt so bad before I had Sam that I'd want to cry sometimes!

Mine can be bad. I remember having horrible cramping once in 6th grade, during music class, the day I was to (and did) get braces! I could barely sit there. Hopefully birth can take the greater part of it away for me too. I would be eternally grateful.

I don't have the severe cramping like I used to, but I have extreme bleeding and nasty PMS. I really need to get my hormones in check

Some of mine are painless, but I almost always have cramps. They use to all be horible, but after I had Timmy some are still really painful, and some not at all. I don't get it. I guess I'm just thankful they're not all painful. Oh yeah, and another thing I noticed. Sometimes I can take one advil and I won't feel any pain at all. During other cycles I can take two and still feel pain! I have no idea what that's about.
