We've had one of the older diaper genies since ds1 was born. It just bit the dust this past week. We're not huge users of 'sposies, but we use them at night, and when things get chaotic at home. (ie when people in the house are sick!). Anyway, just wondering if any of you have something that you love...I am planning to make due for the next several months and ask for a new one of some kind as a baby gift.

I had one given to me when I had Matthew. Used it for one week and pretty much decided it was worthless to me. lol! We just had a diaper only trashcan and every night tied it off and dumped it in the big can outside. We have weekly pickup and the big can is at the end of the drive..not too far to drop a bag of trash each evening.
Sorry...but I always thought they ended up being in the way more than they helped!
Lol...

I loved mine.. but it was expensive to get the refil bags all the time. So when he got older I just started saving all my bags from the grocery, and when he had a poopy diaper then I'd wrap them up in those and it did pretty well. (I'd put the diaper in twist the bag, fold it up (so the plastic was double thick around it) and tie it.)
I was given ours as a gift too and we love it. And since we aren't full time 'sposie users, getting the refills haven't been that big of a deal. (Expecially once we found them at costco! lol. Bought one package when Callum was born and still going strong!) Anyway, it's not that big of a deal to use plastic bags. I just know there will be a few people that really want to buy us a baby gift, and since we pretty much have everything, we might ask for a new one.

then ask for one!!! hehe! They are cool little gadgets. :-) I just can't wait to see what you are having - boy/girl/boy/girl....one of each perhaps???
hehe[verycool]
lol...I was just telling Tara on FB that people need to stop saying the "t" word. (Although, technically speaking, you didn't *say* it! rofl) The reality is, if I think about it too much, I might start hoping for them, and I don't want to get too excited until we *know*. :D
