View Full Version : What in the world? Ashlee 01-07-2007, 12:33 PM I dont remember feeling this with either Brooke or Lawson. It feels like the baby is trying to claw its way out!! Seriously! Has anyone else felt this? Ashlee 01-07-2007, 01:26 PM Well.. I got out my What to Expect When Your Expecting book (not my fave, but can come in handy at a time like this). They described what I am feeling as a symptom of lightening and engagement! I don't feel like I've dropped though, but I am carrying low as it is so it may not be as noticeable. What freaks me out is they also say that this milestone is rarely reached in second or later births until labor has actually commenced! I have not been having contractions or anything so I'm praying that I'm a rarity! I am not ready for this baby to come.. I can not have this baby yet.. oh Lord.. please give me a few more weeks!! [prayer] breezykc2 01-07-2007, 04:44 PM about 3 weeks before I delivered this time...I kept telling my DH that I was sure a fist was going to just shoot out of my crotch! Sorry so graphic! But sooooo true! Good luck! Ready or not....here they come! Bekah 01-07-2007, 06:45 PM I have been feeling this for at least a month! And just in the last couple of days it has become extremely uncomfortable. Her head is pounding into my cervix and it almost feels like she is twisting her head inside of my pelvis and feels like bone grinding on bone... NOT pleasant! jen1981 01-07-2007, 06:52 PM I was wondering if it feels like scratching? I had that with my last daughter and she had really long fingernails when she was born so she was literally scratching around in there. NOT comfortable! 4HisGlory 01-07-2007, 06:55 PM OH the joys I have to look forward to. PRAISE GOD though for all signs of pregnancy! Praying for you ladies who are getting oh so close to b-day. [baby] [claploud] [dancing] Bekah 01-07-2007, 07:08 PM Oh... the scratching! I felt that the other day. I about went through the roof! Ashlee 01-07-2007, 07:31 PM Yes... yes!! It is like scratching, and it hurts! So for you that have felt this was it soon after that labor started? Or was it with your first pregnancy? Bekah 01-07-2007, 07:39 PM Well since I am still pregnant I guess it doesn't indicate labor! (Happened about 2 weeks ago.) Maybe space is getting tight in there! That is what I attributed it to! Ashlee 01-07-2007, 08:33 PM Ok.. I feel a bit of releif then. I am just not ready for this baby to come yet. I think it is unlikely for me to have the baby early.. Brooke was born 2 days before her due date and Lawson was born 5 days after his due date.. but this time I'm not sure my due date is very accurate. I only had one period before I found out I was pregnant and I had a difficult time remembering exactly when it was, so I could be off by a couple of weeks.. give or take. Thats why I'm concerned.. thanks for everyone who responded! And Bekah.. I'm still praying for you.. it won't be much longer now, hang in there! :D Bekah 01-07-2007, 08:39 PM Thanks Ashlee... And I am glad you feel better about it! Ashlee 01-07-2007, 10:04 PM Hey Bekah.. I just had a thought. If you hold out for a couple more weeks and I go into labor a little early.. our babies could share a birthday! How cool would that be. I'm just teasing.. I know your way past ready! Josiah and Lawson were born what, like 5 days apart? We are really in sync, aren't we, lol! PBJ 01-08-2007, 12:59 AM Oh my! Did I ever feel that way. I was on bed rest with my last two girls and everytime I stood up I thought they would pop out. It was so scary. But, rest assured, you'll be just fine!! I will pray for you! Bekah 01-08-2007, 07:47 AM You can go early but I don't want to go any later!!! |
